I was a member of Sam's club many years ago and decided to join again when they opened the one in Burleson. I found out the hard way it is a rip off now. The things I usually buy at Wal-Mart or Winco are higher at Sam's. The lady told me that the gas was monitored Dailey and lowered to beat local prices. It was .05¢ higher that just down the road. No need to go back.
I stayed on hold with them for over 10 minutes.
I was there today about noon to purchase a tool cabinet and work bench. Since I had already looked at them, I was ready to buy and when I walked in with the cart, I told the lady at the door that I would need some help. She radioed for assistance but after waiting 30 minutes, I was able to wrestle the two boxes onto the cart myself. Approaching the checkout counter I found two employees standing there (man and woman) and told them I would need help. The man told me to tell the lady at the door and I then told him that I never got help when I came the first time. He told me again the check at the door. On the way out, you guessed it, no help. A couple of customers on the lot saw what I was trying to do and did help. As I was getting ready to leave, a female with the radio ran up and told me that the guy who was collecting carts on the lot was supposed to help customers load their purchases. I had seen him when I was coming in and saw that he is in such poor physical condition that I would have rejected his offer of service even if he had of shown up. The one male Manager I did interact with obviously was not customer service oriented so the point being, if you are making a big purchase, take your own help.
How terrible does it need to be for management to open up more than two check out lines??? Customers are back up 7-10 deep with large amounts to purchase. They have not been open 3 weeks and this is the second time I've come here to purchase over $500 dollars worth. Very poor customer service. Either going back to costco or shop somewhere else. It's a pity they do a grand open and this is how service is for the future. Why have 12 checkout registers? Yes they do have self serve and they to are backed up. I'm in line, it's 7:40pm July 22nd.
I'm not one to complain, in fact this is the first review I've ever done. I went to this store needing to buy 3 laptops that were on sale. They only had like 1 so the guy said he would order more and they would be in that weekend. I live 45 min away but I went back to this store Friday night. The guy said they were unloading the trucks that they would be in stock in the morning. I got there when the doors opened the next morning. Come to find out there wasn't any on the truck and the warehouse was out too so they wouldn't be selling it anymore. I made 3 trips for nothing. 3 different associates didn't know this info after checking on the computer? The first associate however was very friendly and helpful. The other 2 acted like they didn't want to be there.
Getting to speak to someone on the phone is impossible at this store. The operator (or whoever answers the phone) puts you on hold and NEVER bothers to check if anyone answers you! Poorly trained! Where are the supervisors and the Managers! If they can't use the phones, take them out!
