I purchased a mattress from Tony at the store in the Empire Center in Burbank. He acted as if he was giving us a great deal on it, though we had been shopping around and it was the same price as other stores. When we were about to pay, he said that if his boss did not approve of the deal my credit card will be charged later with the difference. Of course I am not as stupid as he thought I was and told him to call his boss before closing the deal. I should have known right there that this people are a bunch of crooks. He pretended to call someone and said it was a done deal. When I picked up the mattress a week later and brought it home, the threads around the borders were all loose. My wife called the store and the other salesperson Judy got very defensive, instead of apologizing and said that mattresses are not returnable, especially when they cost less than $500.After such remark I got very upset and decided to walk in the store with mattress in tow and threatened to cancel my credit card transaction if they did not solve this problem. After a long discussion with this woman, who got Tony on the phone I was told that they will credit my account and to never bother to buy anything at Ortho. My answer of course was ""I wasn't planning to"". These people ought to be ashamed of the way they are trying to cheat customers and to mistreat them on top of that. I had never had such a bad experience in any store.
The next day I went to Sit 'n Sleep in Glendale where I bought a better mattress for the same price. I was treated with dignity, they delivered my mattress at no extra cost and the warranty does not have any hidden lines on it like the one at Ortho. I highly recommend Sit 'n Sleep. Do not do any business at Ortho Burbank

I purchased a bed frame from them after asking several questions about the length etc. I was told by Tony that I could return them if they didn't fit. They didn't fit and infact were 6"" too long. They would not refund my money and said the 86"" rails were standard, I looked on line and 81"" is standard. 81"" would have been perfect. I don't understand why the cost for their error should be passed on to the customer. I would recommend going elsewhere at all cost!!

OMG, I bought a bed from Mattress Gallery on the phone. I live in West Hollywood, and visit the store and decided to buy the bed when I got home. I called in WeHo Store, and they didn't have the bed/size I want, I called another one at another location, they told me all their inventory comes from 1 warehouse, so if I wanted it over in 2 days, I have to pick another size, so I did. Turned out the guarantee they offer is SO hard to do when you need it. First you have to pay extra$99, I said I won't unwrap the plastic so why would I need to pay. The bed with mattress pad is so much shorter in store than the one I got. I had to jump to get onto the bed. I called the store for an exchange, they told me NO. I called headquarters of Mattress Gallery, they told me it's up to the regional sales manager to decide and told me repeated that it's not his job to help me on this (4 times!!). Of course, he's not going to exchange, he sold it to me. This Chain stores is very weird, keep in mind they are not like Target. Their HQ has no control over the local stores, so don't expect service, QA and professional from a Large Franchise. After I was about to give up and write a complaint to Better Bus, they called me back and said the Customer service manager said I could do an exchange. Except I don't get any credit back even though there's a $200 difference, and I had to pay for delivery again! Oh, the credit does not go towards the delivery, mind you. What happened? After 1 month of this, they delivered the wrong bed, becaused instead of using a computer to deliver data, they write and fax. Come into the 2006 technology era, please!! So, to sum up, I didn't get the bed I wanted until 6 weeks later. So I had to sleep on a sleeping bag for 6 weeks. After this experience, I recommed everyone to avoid this store and go to Ikea or Costco. Their beds are better/cheaper, and better customer serivce.
