I would not recommend this photographer for anything. I’m so disappointed! :(
I would not recommend this photographer for anything but senior portraits or posed family portraits in his studio. However, his studio consists of going to his house and being photographed is his living/dining room area that is adequate but has limitations. If you want a decent picture of your kid, he seems to put the most effort into these types of picture and worst case scenario if they don't turn out to your liking you can always go somewhere else. On the other hand if you want out of studio pictures for an event, I would not recommend this photographer. It is apparent that he is less experienced here. Expect any out of studio pictures to be off centered, have awkward backgrounds and not be of the best quality. If you want out of studio on location pictures then I would suggest using a different local photographer who is more experienced out of the studio and has higher quality equipment to get clearer pictures.As far as Chris the photographer goes, expect awkward conversation and too much information on how much money he makes compared to how much money other photographers make and how much it costs to be in business. If I was Chris, I would do the following to better my business and avoid more negative reviews; 1) Focus on senior portraits or posed family pictures in house (give up on trying to do it all); 2) Invest your money in making your studio a professional studio (verse an converted living/dining room when it's convenient) by redecorating and investing in more backgrounds and props. 3) Have a professional way for customers to view photos such as a high resolution monitor so customers can view their pictures in proportion and clearly see them. 4) Have a way to offer online photo ordering to your customers; 5) Ditch the lame Boswell Photo stamp on the prints as nobody wants to see it and it doesn't help your business. It discourages clients from reordering from you because it takes away from the photos. If you want to mark them, mark them on the back.
