I have been going to salon rouge for the past 6 years and have never regretted it. The owner, Andrew, is extremely skilled and professional. Often times, I defer the haircut style and color up to him because I trust his excellent judgement. I always feel rejuvenated when I leave salon rouge.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! ANDREW (THE OWNER) HACKED MY HAIR!! HE CHOPPED IT ALL UP - MY HAIR IS ALL DIFFERENT LENGTHS- JUST A MESS!! IT'S GOING TO TAKE ATLEAST A YEAR TO GROW IT OUT TO A LENGTH WHERE I CAN HAVE IT EVENED OUT. STAY AWAY FROM ANDREW!! HE'S ARROGANT AND DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE COLOR AND CUT YOU WANT. INSTEAD, HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS. HE IS OUT OF CONTROL!! APPARENTLY, I AM NOT ALONE - READ THE REVIEWS . . .

Two of my friends got great haircuts from Salon Rouge, and trying to save a little money I gave it a try (I had called in and they had told me a cut & color would cost $65). The place was a MESS, I don't think it had EVER been cleaned...hair dye everywhere, the towels they used were stained from colorings and bleach. Besides that, the service was sloppy, Lauren splattered hair dye on my purse (ruining it, obviously); as well as on my face... something you'd expect from a do-it-yourself.
As far as the actual haircut/color....I was very straight-forward when I told her I wanted the same hair color (a light blonde), yet somehow she dyed my hair chocolate brown with strawberry-blondish highlights. It looks dramatic and almost "emo", when I had clearly said a natural look.
When I went to pay, she told me I owed $100, and when I asked why it was different than what I was told when I booked the appointment, she told me it was because she had done highlights and lowlights....I HAD NEVER ASKED FOR THAT, and she had never informed me of price changes. For that price, I could have stayed at my usual salon where it is CLEAN and he listens to what I want!
I was there for MORE THAN FOUR HOURS, and when I finally got out, I had to rush home to scrub the hairdye off my face before going to work!
I have been to multiple salons, and Salon Rouge is the most unprofessional, sloppy establishment I have ever set foot in. It is a terrible excuse for a "salon".
I am extremely sorry the experience was awful for you, it seems there was a great lack of communication. I misunderstood the friend you were referring to when you said you wanted her hair- I have a lot of Katies that come to me. As for the price change... You were told just a cut and color was $65, and I did not know you were quoted any price at all. You wanted blonde added, which requires highlights. A cut, color, & highlight starts @ 95. When you expressed your distaste after I finished, I offered, free of charge, to make you much blonder that day or your next convenient time. You declined. You came back the next day and were given a FULL refund with apologies for not leaving you satisfied. Sorry again for the miscommunication.
