Lords N Ladies Salon & Day Spa
3308 Sheridan Dr, Buffalo, NY 14226
I was going here for over 10 years, but since the ownership changed hands so much had changed. The chairs were falling apart, the hair color didn't stay in my hair like the other product they used to use and most importantly the morale of the stylists were broken. The atmosphere had changed significantly . My happy stylists were no longer happy. That made a difference to me.
I went in for the first time here to get my hair trimmed. The hairstylist was asking me personal questions non-stop.She wasn't paying attention at all.My haircut was uneven and ugly. The stylist had very short brown hair and glasses.I think her name might also be Kendra but not 100% sure.
I have tried several spas in the Buffalo area and found this to be the best! I never fear infection from a pedicure as they are extremely careful to be completely sterile. It is so relaxing to sip on your beverage of choise while sitting in the massage chair during your pedicure. I am VERY tickleish and Kim is so patient with me!
I have to admit though that my favorite thing is getting an hour and a half facial from Jo Ann Smith. Not only is she knowledgable about what facial I should get for my skin problems at that particular time, but the whole experience is amazing!! During the facial she gives an increadible massage. She uses these "chinese bells" to massage the face and declatage. It is a unique and awesome experience!
In the few years that I have come here I have NEVER had a problem. I can assure you though that if you did, the owner(Kay) would bend over backwards to fix the problem. If you were to leave unsatisfied, the fault would be your own.
The people who work here are fabulous ,so give youself a gift and give this place a try!!!
I had my hair cut, colored and eyebrows waxed $120.00.. but the end result was horrific!!!! I asked the stylist "Kendra" 40yrs+ to give me long layers and overall dark brown color. She butchered my hair and gave me the most crooked layers.....(I started out with all one length) my cut is not fixable it is completely uneven EVERYWHERE!!!! And to top it off she had to redo my color start to finish because she attempted to just color my roots and then tried some "technique" where she let the color sit on my roots and then shampooed it through the rest of my hair then rinsed it all out. Resulting in dark roots and the rest of my hair was light?????So I said this is not what I asked for, she said it looked fine and the other stylists agreed with me that it was wrong to say the least. So she stormed off to remix the color she should have mixed in the first place and then gave me my all over color.Waste of time,I was also charged more money for the extra color she used. The color was 2 shades darker than what I asked, it has been 7wks and people comment why I decided to go black. I do not think all the stylists at this salon are bad, but I do think that Kendra truly needs to find a new profession that does not involve cutting or coloring hair.To back up my hair concerns I booked a consultation with a nearby high end salon. The stylist who examined my cut and color was the owner with 25yrs experience. He told me all I could do was grow it out. He said if he evened out my layers unfortunately I would have layers above my eyes, and we all know that is not the "long layers" I opted for. My hair is past my shoulders people....... are you getting a picture of what she did to my hair? He also said she dyed my hair a warm level2, that is one shade above black! I asked her to color my hair a neutral level 4.Because that is what I always get my hair done...I am not mad I am sad I loved my hair and now I do not. It feels like I'm missing something and I wish I did not have this experience or anyone else for that matter. Good luck finding a Salon and keep in mind the stylist is the most important part.
