This place is the worst place, they dont take the orders properly plus they bring the order late or never; for example I called today 8/2/15 at 11:00 pm ,and order a chicken and broccoli pizza they took my order,I waited until 1:00 am 8/4/15 and the delivery guy nor the pizza never arrived. This is the worst place to order never again I will order from here.
We order all the time from La Nova and this time we had a mixup I called and the girl was rude to begin with. She handed me off to who I assume was the manager. He was the ruder than she was. When I asked for him to fix the situation he got defensive and was very unwilling to help. The situation was not resolved and he told me with no lack of attitude that if I wanted the correct sub it would be an hour. He was extremely unpleasant and I will look for another place to order from next time. Their mistake led to me being spoken to in a way I found completely disrespectful.
Mike the delivery thug or is it worth it to get verbally abused for this pizza?
No, it is not. I just had the worst experience after having La nova Pizza delivered to our office. The delivery guy, Mike, was screaming, verbally abusive and trying to use his size (over six feet tall 250+ pounds) to intimidate me, a small woman. I am sorry if it took him 20 minutes to find the office, but the receipt had the address and room number. He should have somebody read the address before leaving if he cannot read. In addition, what type of service is it to start screaming in a reception area, grab a receipt out of my hands, and refused to provide a receipt for the product delivered.
I do not care how the pizza taste. It is not worth.
Horrible experience

Provided by CitysearchI handle the ordering for our company meetings and have used LaNova serveral times. There food is really good but the order ALWAYS arrive late and half the time they don't bring plates and napkins. Not worth the trouble if you're on a schedule.
On the other hand, they have the best white pizza I have ever had.
I absolutely love La Novas bbque chicken wings. They are THE BEST!!!

Provided by Citysearchi am a buffalo native. i have ordered la novas more times than i can remember: la novas has good wings, pizza and chicken fingers. they also have rude staff, inconsistent food quality, and crappy ""alternative items"" (e.g. eggplant parm - trust me from my experience, you're in buffalo, there are MUCH better places for dishes like this). they deliver everywhere - great. but 99% of the time i call, i get a rude, hurried individual on the phone. i get that i am probably calling when everyone else is - to the staff: its your job, deal with it. ive also been shorted wings on several occasions, sauces which i paid extra for, etc. in my opinion, there is better food and service (and cheaper prices) to be had elsewhere. just ask around (since this is not an endorsement for other area businesses).

Provided by CitysearchIf you get to the Buffalo area often, you know that LaNova is a ledgendary desitnation. Two Locations, but I find that the Main Street Location is easier when you are just driving through town. Oh and by the way their BBQ wings can make a grown man cry or in my case and those of many others that I know, it at least make you stop and get an order on the way.....PS they are really tasty, but the wings are a very dangerous thing to try to eat while driving.....
Trust me, if you like wings, and you have had others BBQ wings, they usually fry them and splash some weak BBQ Sauce on them , not at LaNova. They are cooked on a grill and the sauce is of their own making. Its tangy and sweet and they seem to know just how to grill them. From a recent news story I saw, The owners said they sell between 400 to 500,000 pounds a week...somebody must likey....
Not a fancy sit down place, in either location, Main Street has a counter with maybe 10 stools, but West Ferry the home base has tables and counter service. to describe it on a regional level they are like the Geno's cheese steak of Philly but for Buffalo wings...

Provided by Citysearchlisten lanovas has changed and so has there prices but what can you expect it's 2008 and the prices of cheese and wings went up.the best pizza in the house is the steak pizza and the second pizza is the one that only one person knows how to make it it's acourse joe's cousin buckethead the chicken platium pizza he takes time and makes it perfect alot of chicken on that pie.dont forget the wings expecially the inferno is the best with a little of there own bbq sauce.take my word for it lanova still rocks and so does some of the people that work there.sr and joe and vinny and of course the origanal owner and the one that started the wings little joe.lanovas always help people that are less fornate or kids that are in the hospital.lanovas even donate there time every year for st josephs table and give to the community.dont ever bad mouth lanovas because they are one of the best bussiness out there and they always help people..christmas and newyears is here and get ready to get rockin with lanovas because they always rock with the pizza and wings.lanovas changed for the better and there food is getting better by the day and there owner are always coming up with good ideas.carla is joes daughter and she treats customers like there family.remeber if you dont like lanovas dont say anything bad about them because they are always helping people and always donating food for charitys.lanovas i love u and your family thank u for all the good times and the great food......lanovas rule rule
We ordered a pizza for delivery once they said about an hour it took about two hours and by the time it was at our house it was ice cold. We called to complain and see what they could do for us,they said we could bring it back if we wanted to but it would take another hour for the pizza. Well we had company over and they were leaving soon so that wasn't an option so when we asked what else they could do for us they said absolutely nothing and the girl was very rude like it was our fault.Needless to say we will never go back even if their food is ok.
The best pizza & wings in Buffalo. My only problem is that this location lacks customer service. They need to take some lessons fro the West Ferry location.

Provided by CitysearchThe pizza isn't so bad if you don't mind supporting organized crime. 'Big Joe' Todaro was ousted from construction unions following FBI investigations. So now he hoodwinks the less educated citizens of the (notoriously corrupt) city of Buffalo into gulping down his overcooked whatever. His father had an opponent gutted, shot, strangled, and burned, on a farm in Wyoming county - nice guys, huh! and a ""family tradition"" to be sure. Rememeber, everytime you eat here, you are paying off the mob. Why not just buy dope?
By the way the wings are terrible! - but complain and you will ""sleep with the fishes"". In other words: STAY AWAY!
The best barbeque wings in Buffalo!! The Barbeque flaver is grilled on to perfection to beat out the competition hands down...

Provided by CitysearchI've been to several pizza places around the country and still fail to find one better than LaNova. Everytime I go to Niagara Falls, the first thing I do the next day is take a trip down to LaNova for lunch. They have the second best wings in Buffalo (Anchor Bar is the best, by a close margin). They have several different kinds of pizza, and every one of them is great!

Provided by Citysearchborn and raised in buffalo on the west side where la novas is located , this place has become a trade mark to me and a lot of other people. the first time i had la novas i was 5 yrs old im now 30 this place has been around longer than me i think that alone says enough. The pizza what more could any one ask for. and the wings i have been away from buffalo for the past five years and i have not found any place that has even come close to the sauce. lets face it we have had some true italians in buffalo and this place was started by one of them you could stop 100 people in buffalo and not here what you herd from the buffalo bill he is probably not from buffalo and if he is he came from the suburbs... columbus,oh

Provided by CitysearchFood is below average, service is non- existant. The only good thing I can say is that the sit down area is very nicely decorated.

Provided by CitysearchLa Nova is by far the best pizza around. In looking at some of the other reviews, it is apparent that some of you don't know what good pizza is! There is no better, and the bbq wings are great. It is a little pricey, but if you want the best you have to pay for it! As far as service, I don't know about the Main St location but I have never waited more than a minute at the Ferry location because they have so many people working. I've been all over and I have yet to find food that compares.

Provided by CitysearchThe pizza is quite disappointing as it is extremely dry with very little sauce. It is well below average at best. I have had better frozen pizzas from Freschetta. The chicken wing sauce is excellent but the actual chicken wings are small. LaNova charges more and gives you less. Buy the sauce and make your own wings at home. The sandwiches are ok but pricey. Since the fire, the restaurant looks new.
The city location is something to be desired. You have to look over your shoulder as the neighborhood the pizzeria is located in is questionable to say the least. I suggest that LaNova start making their pizzerias with first rate mozzarella cheese, add more sauce and upgrade your chicken wings to large from small that you currently serve.
I also think LaNova should provide security to walk you to your car after you pick up your order.

Provided by CitysearchI am originally from Buffalo, N.Y.. My occupation has required me to leave the area. I also do a lot of traveling. I have been across the ocean while in the Navy and all over the U.S.. In my travels I have yet to find pizza as good as LaNova's! Wings too! I am firmly convinced that New York State is the mecca of pizza and wings. LaNova's is the ""royal palace""!
