Overall

I would never have signed up for this gym had I known I was going to be charged $68.00 three months in as a "yearly fee." While I have no doubt that somewhere in fine print is this fee, I can honestly say I had NO IDEA that this fee would be charged, because if I had ANY INKLING, I would not have signed up, not because it's not a nice place, but because I would not have been able to afford it. I cannot ethically be a member of this gym anymore and while they refuse to cancel my membership, I will no longer be paying my member fees. I cannot afford this, and was just trying to have an affordable place to help reduce my stress. Money is one of my stressors, and Best Fitness has done me so wrong. I really think it's terrible.

When I called explaining I had no idea about the fee, I was met with zero empathy, told that it was in my member agreement, that it doesn't matter that I wasn't aware of it, that I couldn't cancel and if I stopped paying it it will go into collections. Fine by me. I will never give them any of my hard earned money.

Shame on you Best Fitness. You're supposed to help make peoples' lives more healthy. You have dissappointed me, and overdrawn my bank account in a time when I'm barely scraping by. For an extra $5 more per month I can't imagine the bad word of mouth could be worth it. I will tell everyone I can not to sign up with you.

Overall
Pros: Clean, nice new equipmen...

Pros: Clean, nice new equipment, nice cardio equipment.

Cons: No barbell decline bench press!! Dumbbells only go up to 70LBS! Only one machine for back (that uses plates)!! The fixed barbells do not get heavy either (only 50 or 60lbs max). No 35LB plates (would be nice just to have 1 or 2, for some exercises where you're actually holding the plate). Beware that enrollment is for 2 years if get the 9.99/mo rate. It's a "24 Hour gym" that is only open 24 hrs on tues wed thurs.

Overall, the gym is nice, but if you are someone who lifts a lot with heavier dumbbells or fixed barbells, you might want to go elsewear. I asked someone who worked there if they would be getting more, and I was told it's a 24 hour gym, so they will not be getting more. I was pretty dissapointed to find this out considering I signed up before the gym was built. The gym is very nice, but not the best gym for a serious weight lifter.
