If I could give this guy zero stars I would. He took a deposit for a sod job that he was supposed to start on Thursday, showed up with half the load the following Saturday, and left it to die in his broke down truck in front of the house! A very horrible and expensive lesson.
The WORST contractor I've ever dealt with. He cashed my down payment check, took three weeks after that to start and then caused significant damage to my property. I'm still waiting for my refund. Horrible!!
I hired AMA for snowplowing 3 years ago and I am very glad I did. I work early in the morning so it is so nice to come out every morning and have my driveway nice and clean and not have to shovel at 3am. Andrew the owner is very easy to deal with and very hands on. I highly recommend AMA to snowplow your residence or business.
I contacted Peter for a quote and he cancelled. He rescheduled an apt and called again and asked if his father/co-owner could come and give the estimate because he lived closer. His father arrived and we discussed the project and he gave me a quote. I called to schedule one of the jobs and Peter said his father isn't allowed to give quotes and wouldn't honor his father's quote. How ridiculous and unprofessional!! Would never do business with this company they can't even get their quotes right!
Thank YOU Peter and team for exceeding my expectations. I love my new stone patio and surrounding landscape. I highly recommend PB's Greenthumb. Very dependable, extremely talented, prompt and courteous. Very fair and competitive pricing. Started on time and finished on time.
I sent Peter an email through his website and he was able to come out next day to take a look at the project. Peter told me he could take some pictures and create a design that he would email to me. Which he did. This was a much better option than just hearing about what he planned to do. Once we settled on a design he was in contact with me throughout the whole process of scheduling a date. They arrived exactly when Peter said they would. Most of the project was done in the first day. Then they came out THE NEXT DAY, on a Saturday no less, to complete the job because Peter told me he doesn't like to leave a site unfinished. Moral of the story is that my landscaping looks fantastic. And they left the area spotless. Peter and his crew are top notch. I plan on recommending this company to friends and family without hesitation. Thanks again Peter, awesome job!!!
We have used Menne for a number of projects, both big and small. Their staff is knowledgeable, personable, and professional and the stock that they carry is second to none. Highly recommend.
Last year I hired a fly by night company to clean and mulch my beds, a mistake I vowed not to repeat when it came to a complete relandscape of my back yard. After much research including the BBB, I hired PB's Greenthumb. It was the absolute right decision. While all four of the designs I received were relatively close in price, PB's Greenthumb was the only one to include some strategically placed and decorative hardscape. That, as well as what I thought were plants which provided good "bang for the buck." Peter was responsive when I called or e mailed, his crew showed up as scheduled, worked hard and diligently and my yard is now a showplace. I recommend this company highly.
We recently sodded and re-landscaped our entire front yard after putting in a new porch. Our selection process included all mid-size landscape architects that we could find. PB's Greenthumb stood out as easy to work with, great digital designs, and reasonably priced. Peter and his skilled team came when they said they would, delivered everything as promised, and even followed up on sod that needed to be replaced. There were a couple of electrical and pvc related issues that his team was able to quickly resolve. PB's Greenthumb had the right equipment and skilled professionals to handle a job our size very quickly, leaving us the remainder of the summer to enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Definitely recommend!
Hired Peter for a job last fall which went as well as could be expected considering the weather we experienced early in 2013. Booked him for work in November of 2013 for the following spring for the front of my home and some finishing work in the back yard that we ran out of time on. In early 2014 I contacted him to remind him of our commitment the previous season and asked to be put on the calendar as early as possible. He came out in April, canvassed the areas, bid the job and accepted a hefty deposit during that visit with a promise for May work and to replace all the plants that didn't survive the winter. May came and went and when I contacted him with a start date he indicated he was hesitant about doing the job because he was fenced out of the back yard (We had a new fence installed in the fall of 2013 and at no time did he request that the gate be left off pending the work he committed to do in the following spring). He then sent me a text indicating that he "doesn't feel comfortable moving forward with any of the work at this time. Too many red flags. We are swamped busy and we don't have the time to hand dig a patio base. I will drop your deposit off to you tomorrow." Even though I selected pavers for the back yard in April, he was aware of the gate being there, he bid the job and accepted the deposit for a May work time line. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The refund did not arrive the next day as he indicated, I had to text about the status and a time line for plant replacement, he replied, "ASAP I'm sure" and wanted to know what the plants were that were dead, as though I am a horticulturalist.... He took 2 weeks to send me a check which was short 1000.00. Yes you read right, One Thousand Dollars! I had to threaten litigation if he did not correct the unpaid balance and replace the items. He stated "there is no guarantee on plant material..." After threatening litigation, the 1000.00 balance was dropped off at my home, the plants were placed, even though two obviously dead plants were missed (there were 8 total) and he did nothing with the items he transplanted that were already there when he did the work, and were healthy and thriving prior to being transplanted, and are now dead. A very poor businessman that lacks integrity.
