Stay away from this store. I went there on 7/27. The cashier had the register door open and wasn't wearing an ID Badge. I went to the cashier with a Polaroid Pronto camera marked $3.00 and 2 basketballs, one marked $2 and the other $3. The male cashier "SH" said the Polaroid camera was $31 not $3 because someone changed the price and it was very valuable. Then the cashier overcharged me on one of the basketballs. Of course I complained to Goodwill but they ignored me, but Consumer Affairs hasn't. This place should be avoided. If you're foolish enough to go there be sure to use a credit card and look at your receipt closely.
The GW prices are too high. Compare with other thrift stores. New items with the original price tag will be marked twice the original price. On Monday 2/17/14 I saw a pine TV dinner table painted black priced $38.00 @ the Transit Rd Williamsville location. A used tank top will run you $4.00. Go to Kohl"s Target or Walmart & get a new one on sale for $5.00. A hardcover book runs $2.50. Go to Salvation Army or Amvets & pay $1.00. GW may get someone to buy something @ a higher price, but they are losing out @ more people buying more items. I have also chosen to donate my items to the other thrifts because of their pricing.
