We hired Dipaolo and Sons, Inc. and its owner, Frank Primerano, to build a 16’ X 12’ addition to our home in Williamsville, NY. Mr. Primerano walked off the job after receiving 90% payment on the contract. Still to be completed was removal of topsoil and construction debris in the back yard and a solution to the significant water pooling which was creating a 6” deep by 8’ wide pool against the foundation. Mr. Primerano’s only answer to the water problem was to provide an eight-foot 2 X 10 plank over the water to the rear door, 2 feet above the water. It cost us twice what we withheld to repair his unfinished work. Additionally, upon inspection by the Town of Amherst building inspectors, several more problems were found due to Mr. Primerano’s unacceptable construction. Among their findings were: The necessity to provide stairs to the rear door, R-8 air supply ducts required were only R-6, there was no return air duct in the addition and a concrete PSI report on footers was never submitted. Most significantly, insulation in the crawl space floor of the addition was installed upside-down. This necessitated the removal and replacement of more than 200 sq. ft. of insulation. We incurred an additional 45% in costs to complete and/or correct his mistakes and get a Certificate of Occupancy. We are dissatisfied with the debris he left behind, backfill he left untouched, the lack of a proper drainage system, his apparent inability to render basic construction skills, his lack of communication with the Town of Amherst Building inspectors and his failure to comply with the Town of Amherst Building Code. We would never use Mr. Primerano or his company, Dipaolo & Sons again, nor would we recommend him to anyone.
We have been in business for 30+ years with excellent reputation and rated highly with the BBB etc. We appreciate and respect necessary and proper communication, all necessary to keep the end users (client(s) that are represented by in this case this Handy Andy located in Buffalo NY. In this case they were communicated to reply with an approval by 10:00 AM to waterjet a client for bathroom drains backing up however, they did not respond for approval until 3:00 that afternoon, of which, our water jetter we now had to pay overtime. Out of courtesy we did not charge this extra $100 to Handy Andy. However, we emailed them for an additional $150.00 at approximately 4:45 that day because the manager of the jobsite wanted us to clean up tremendous fecal matter that had backed up in the bathroom and hallways, which if not taken care of the store could be closed due to public health code hazard and violations. We emailed this extra $150 for cleaning up all the tremendous fecal matter and to do so for the above national company Handy Andy. However, despite the tremendous appreciation from their client, keeping their store open and accessible to the public, Handy Andy refuses to pay us because we did not call them. When we called them to explain the situation the next day, Don the owner of Handy Andy was very obnoxious, very rude and had no respect for us or his client of any understanding or appreciation whatsoever. So we called his clients corporate office who informed us and the amount they had paid to Handy Andy. Our total invoice (which included this additional $150). I was shocked of the amount that Handy Andy charged their client for our workmanship and care we took by cleaning up all of the fecal matter! of which by rights they had plenty of money to also pay us not only for the additional $150 we requested for clean-up but also the extra $100 for the waterjet since it was now on overtime and the traffic getting to and from the job was horrendous on top of everything.
I contracted classic fence to install a vinyl coated chain link fence in my daughters yard in August. The sales rep was nice enough and gave me a date of the 2nd week of Sept for installation. That week came and went with no install. the fence was finally completed on Sept 23rd over the course of 3 days. The crews that came to do the install were very unprofessional. the left a mess and ended up cutting an under ground line for the garage door opener. When I called on Monday to tell them I was told it's not their responsibility. I asked to speak to a manager and was told none were available, I was transferred to my sales rep and was hung up on. I would not recommend this company.
Prompt, friendly, and thorough service throughout the winter at very reasonable cost. will definitley renew contract for 2016 winter.

Matt was great! Both he & Scott were polite & keep the work area as clean as possible. Cleaned everything at the end & left not a scrap of anything behind for us to take care of. Living in FL, I had to get a job done for my Mom in Buffalo, found him online. I could not have picked a better, more professional company than HomePro Solutions! He worked with me online & my Mom in person. Arrived at the scheduled time to quote the project & emailed the quote within a few days. Also, arrived at the scheduled time & day & finished all the work in the time he allotted for the project. The final invoice was what he had quoted with just a minimal adjustment to pricing for unexpected work & supplies that my Mom had added to the job. Will call him first for any other jobs my Mom needs.
Absolutely awesome guy. John is honest and straightforward. Won't overcharge you or tell you there is more damage than is what is there. Excited about the jobs he and his crew are gonna do :) He also has an A+ rating with the BBB. I will definitely be telling more people about him.
I never worked for this guy, he does not even know me, he is the president of the condos where I worked. He's pushy and on a ego trip, he also made it very difficult to work there. Most of the condo owners don't even like him. I do great work and very considerate were also neat and organized.
This is only regarding the company "Ready, Willing and Able," owned by Anthony Wargula.Paid Tony up front to do about 10 hours worth of work.After stories, excuses, reasons why it is our fault, blame, stories, blame, excuses, it is 2 1/2 months later, and we still are calling him, "are you feeling like you will work on the house today? No? Ok. Well, hopefully tomorrow, I'll call you tomorrow."He doesn't call me, I have to call him. I try to avoid it, because then he unleashes the excuses and drama.He hasn't completed 10 hours worth of work in 2 1/2 months.He has kidney stones (there are reviews of him using that excuse six years ago), he has no money (we paid him up front) he just always has a reason to not work.On the plus side, his work is really good, great attention to detail. Just hard to get him to do it.He is like a child.Other reviews are just as negative about him. We hired him in Colorado, hoping the reviews were wrong.They weren't. If you are looking to hire him.Don't.Hire somebody else.See three 13-year-olds stealing hubcaps at three in the morning? They will be more dependable than Tony, hire them. For the excuses and drama, hire some out of work Soap Opera writers. Seriously, Tony is really creative about why he can't do work that day. Once work is underway, it's never a bad idea to check up on the progress of the job, either by staying in touch with the contractor over the phone or visiting the site in person. If you work with a trustworthy professional, it's probably best to keep your distance and allow everyone to stay busy.
