If you have curly hair, do not let deena near your hair. When I first got there I told her I was growing my hair out but just needed more volume. She proceeded to cut over two inches off my hair. My hair was sticky and frIzzy when I left the salon. She put so much product on my hair, it felt cakey and yucky. I had to do a deep treatment since she used shampoo in my hair which I haven't used in over 6 months. I follow the curly curl method, conditioner only. She also used hairspray which I don't use makes my hair stiff and sticky. I like soft curls. My hair is so short now after I had been trying to grow out for months. So disappointed thought this was a deva approved salon and expected so much more. Paid $80 to leave salon with frIzzy and sticky hair. I would not recommend this salon to any curly girls as I was not satisfied with my cut or style. I felt like I was being rushed out of there. My hair was not even dry when I left. The owner asked me to take the review down and she would refund my money but she hasn't done that. N you shouldn't pay to get good reviews. Also all the other reviews are from people that work at the shop and not actually gotten a haircut there.
As a long time resident of the Main Line--I have experienced many salons, but none can top the professionalism, attention to detail, and caring atmosphere of this fabulous business. Go to no others.
I paid big money for being treated unprofessionally. I came early and waited for an appointment with Michelle. When my time was up the receptionist told me that I can go to the chair only to find Michelle seating in the chair, having her hair done by another girl and asking me to seat down on the couch next to the chair and wait when she was finished!!! When she saw the puzzle on my face the princess frowned, got up and finally started doing her job. Imagine how I felt when I was thinking that I always tipped her $40! After she colored my hair her daughter showed me area at the back where I can dry my own hair. A drier was not there so the girl went to get one as I stood there I noticed how dirty was the area and thought that there is no way I am drying my hair here. Plus I felt that drying my own hair in the Main Line salon for the money I paid was ridiculous, so I left. When I got home my shirt was soaked in the color that was dripping from my improperly rinsed hair. I guess if I put on my diamonds that day and pull in my mercedes I would get Michelle's G. finger up in my *.
