I have to give at least one star to post my review. I would like for the community of Brownwood to know that it's imperative that they stay away from the Austin Avenue Veterinary Clinic because all they seem to be interested in is letting your pet die my best friend had an injured K-9 on Tuesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. by the time they called the vet the vet was closed and was told by the answering service that a vet on call would return their call it is now Thursday April 27th 2017 and they have yet to receive a call unfortunately the little dog passed away this is the worst most asinine place Only Hell could be worse than this place matter fact he'll might be even better than this place please do not take your animals to these people they do not care about your animal they advertise 24/7 emergency eye care that is not true and I also have read reviews where they let one lady's cat died because of the same thing they did not respond to her emergency call the vet that was on call Tuesday which I will find out who's on call and we'll take it further to the Veterinary Medical review board or whoever I need to contact this is unacceptable behavior and expecially as a doctor that I'm sure has to take some type of small oath that they will protect and try to save animals however you want to word it it's fine with me but it's all the same meaning they need to save pets if at all possible but we'll never know because they never called they never even did a follow-up call and they never even showed up where they were supposed to show up so I hope the vet rots in Hell which is too good for them this is a bad bad place do not I repeat do not call these vet do not take your pets to the Austin Avenue Clinic please please don't if you value your pet's life please do not do it.
My cat was having cluster seizures this past weekend and i needed emergency help for him on Sunday. This clinic advertises 24 hour emergency care on their website and they did not come to help my cat. I posted a comment on the Austin Avenue Veterinary Clinic facebook page the other day calling them out for denying my cat care on sunday. I made it clear that i saw they advertised 24 hour emergency care on their website and that i was appalled that they denied my cat critical care when he needed it most. They deleted the comment off of the page. Didnt answer me or send me a message, no, they deleted the comment. My cat passed away on Tuesday. If he had been able to receive that care on Sunday, he may still be here right now.
