Had a very good hot open roast beef with a side salad. Other people had delicious grilled cheese and fries. Staff are really nice and bathrooms are clean.I definitely will be back!
I used to bring to this place all of my guests. But tonight I was ashamed. I don't know what happened to this place. I used to get exceptional service until tonight. We felt unwelcomed when we entered into the restaurant. Then here we go, our waitress couldn't greet us and couldn't even say simple "Hi" to us, and so food-runners. Once waitress took the order she never came back to check on us. Here is the worst part: food was coming with interval of 15 minutes, so we basically had to stare how one was eating own meal when others were still waiting for theirs. Then they just forgot to bring out one person's meal. When we asked the check they included meal that they forgot to bring out. When we mentioned this mistake to waitress she just offered us if we want this meal to go instead of apologizing at first place. One gentleman came to our table and apologized saying: that our meal mistakely has been sent to another table.
Amazing, unusual, one of a kind merchandise! The store carries hand selected items that are very hard to come by! I am a fan!

I went to the restaurant. The owner chose my dish and it was awful. He admitted that he used me as a guinea pig and that the cook really didn’t know how to cook the dish. The food was tasteless and bland. Another thing about this business is they aren’t open when they are supposed to be.I had wanted to order delivery from them the night before but they had closed early. That day when I went to eat they were also opening late. One more point they have not had their health inspection yet. This I verified by going to the NY Health Ratings website. If they have a GrubHub and a Seamless account and are operating a restaurant their chefs should atleast know how to cook and they should be inspected. The owner called me back when I called the listed number on the GrubHub account. So a warning if you call the “business phone” it is his cellphone. And he has caller ID. He kept my number. He also texted me the next day after I left the restaurant….kind of creepy.
Good food, friendly staff. Decent place to work if you need to get work done. A little douchey !!!!!

Hey all,I wanted to share with you an incident that happened me in Cafe Hadar today... (located on ave N). I ordered food with my co-workers at work today. When I called to order, I told the girl who answered the phone, that it is very very veryyy important for me that they won't forget to deliver anything from my order, cause every time I order from them, they forget to deliver some stuff, and then coming back with the delivery a half an hour later. The girl assured me that they won't forget anything this time, and she is on top of it. I also asked how long will it take to be delivered to my work place, and the answer was 30 min or even less. 45 minutes passed from the time that I ordered, and I decided to call and inquire about the food. They said that the delivery went out already and that it will be by me in 10 minutes. The food was delivered 1 hour and 15 minutes after I ordered. When I opened my delivery, I saw that they forgot to send some stuff that I ordered (Again!). I called again, and said that I want a refund of my order, because they didn't deliver the whole order, and the food came 45 minuted late then what they promised. The answer was that they want give me a refund, and that the rest of the order will be by me in 10 minutes. Well.. as I thought the rest of the order came an hour later. When I call again to ask for a refund and to tell them they can take the rest of the order back, and that we are a big place that order from them a lot, and its a shame that we won't order from them anymore with such service, the manager/ owner got upset and said that "everything will come back on me", and hung up the phone on me..I personally cannot understand how a known restaurant like #cafehadar have such service, and how the owner can behave this way to customers.. This was unaccepted.
I placed my order at 9:30 pm and I NEVER received my food until 1:30 am. When I called to inquiring about the status of my order I was placed on hold for nearly 20 minutes then i spoke. I called again and spoke to 3 people and not one person could give me an answer as to what was causing the delay. At 1 am I finally spoke to someone and I was told that I had cancelled my order which I never did and that the driver had turned back. 1:30 I finally received my food and the delivery man had the worst attitude ever. Now let's talk about the food it was horrible. I will never order from them again.
