Make Your Move an Easy-Going Process with U. Santini

General Info
U. Santini Moving & Storage has a large fleet of clean, fully-equipped moving vans, trained, and courteous personnel, and a reputation for quality in our industry. U. Santini Moving & Storage can be trusted to handle your move quickly, efficiently, safely, and of course economically. U. Santini Moving & Storage is licensed, bonded, and insured, for your peace of mind. The most common form of moving company, the full service mover, will move all of your household goods from your old address to your new address. The items are picked up from every room in your old home and delivered to the appropriate rooms in your new home. Individual pieces of furniture are wrapped in blankets to protect them during shipment. Use only strong, corrugated cartons with covers. We can supply you with specially made cartons, for everything from mattresses to clothing and mirrors. The added protection of mover-provided cartons may avoid damage that results from the use of poor-quality packing materials. Your alternative is to collect boxes discarded by your grocery or liquor store. Save old newspapers for use in packing, but remember that ink may rub off and stain clothing or other items. Warning: Insect eggs and insects such as roaches can travel in food boxes. Keep this in mind when getting boxes from food stores. Services such as packing, appliance servicing, unpacking, or stair carries that are needed due to either your request or building regulations may result in additional charges.

I recently used U. Santini on a complicated move. lt involved sending

2/3 of my stuff from a house in Brooklyn to another house upstate.

The other 1/3 had to be picked up, unloaded in storage, reloaded and delivered to a building in Manhattan. Oh, and on the way I asked them to pay for and pick up a dining table I had purchased from Craigslist.

I chose them because I'm old-fashioned, I like to deal with a business that has been around a while, is local, and where you can walk in and meet the owner. So after doing just that, I asked them to come over and give me a price. Naturally I also checked their record at the BBB and online.

The estimate I got was based on time and materials, not a 'flat rate', so I asked the estimator what were the chances of the estimate going over. He said that as long as I did what I said I would, i.e., pack my stuff as I had promised, that I would not be charged more. And in fact that's how it was.

All the moves went like clockwork, and to my surprise nothing was damaged. I should also mention that all my furniture is heavy, solid wood furniture, and 1 have a lot of heavy stuff like books and LPs.

The movers didn't complain and they dealt with everything that came up while staying cheerful and dedicated the whole move.

All in all, a great experience.

I recently moved to Park Slope...

I recently moved to Park Slope and I must say that U.Santini was amazing! I was dreading moving day, but the movers were there early (boy, was I surprised) and went above and beyond! Tito was the name of one of the guys and he took the time to take apart my son's crib in my apartment and put it together in my new home! They were careful with the walls when bringing in furniture and even put paper down so my wood floor wouldn't get scratched. The owner, Dan stopped by once during the day to check-in and make sure all was going smoothly. Again, I was impressed! Now that I'm a local I stop by his office once in a while to see his dog, Lola and have gotten to know his father who still works the business. Great service, great family and great experience! I love my new Park Slope home...but having U.Santini move me almost makes me want to move just to work with them again! I understand why they've been in business for so long.

Don't use this company!

This business is as sleazy as they come. The owner, Dan, tries to bilk you of extra money at every chance. Once they got my belongings to my new home, Dan wanted $2,000 more than the original price. When I said I wouldn't pay any extra, he threatened to have the moving men stay until I agreed to the new price. I said I would call the police because they were trespassing, and he finally backed down. He was verbally abusive, nasty, and even refused to back his own employee's estimate.

It was a horrible experience!

A negative review is concerning, especially when it is false. As the owner of U.Santini, I am proud to say that this is the first negative review we have received in 75 years. I am compelled to address this customer who wrote this review simply becausee she did not want to compensate U.Santini for services rendered. The customer was quoted an estimate based on the items we were supposed to move. Upon arrival, the crew was requested to move double the original request, which they obliged. Upon being billed the customer refused payment. At no time was I, or anyone on my staff unprofessional. Quite to the contrary, the customer was abrasive and rude and ultimately...a thief. I was raised to do the right thing always. Someone who takes advantage of a company and takes their time and services without paying is a thief. Our reputation speaks for itself and our proud history remains despite one negative post and idle threats to ruin our stellar reputation in the industry.
