I dont like this place from previous experience but it was close to where I parked so me and my gf walked in anyway.
Oh boy, all the bad memories came back. The owner, this big fat guy with a face that screams he rather die than be there brushed us off to some table with the enthusiasm of a holocaust survivor.
The food was good however, but it does have a ""run off the mill"" taste and look. and the drinks were also well balanced.
But I wouldnt want to go back here. The food maybe okay, but I dont need to be treated like trash by management of all people

I'm new to the neighborhood and have been considering eating at Casa Rosa. While strolling with my brother and his 9 month pregnant wife last night in Carroll Gardens, we noticed Casa Rosa had a singer performing in the restaurant. He came to the window and started singing to us and another couple. My pregnant sis in law really needed to go to the bathroom as she's 9 months pregnant it just kind of sneaks up on you. We figured since they were pretty slow, the singer was sweet, and she's really pregnant they'd let her use the toilet. She asked the manager and he said ""No, we don't take people off the street.""
I will never eat here, nor will my friends, neighbors, or anyone else for that matter who asks my opinion on where to eat. In fact, I'm going out of my way to blast the news that the manager is a monster. What kind of a beast turns away a 9 month old pregnant woman?
DON'T SUPPORT THESE MONSTERS!!!

Real Italian food. The only place to go if you love good Italian Food. Great portions, great taste, moderately priced. Family owned and operated. Treat them well and they will treat you well. I've been going for years and neveronce was disappointed. My family from NJ want to go there every time they come to Brooklyn. They serve the food promptly, and it's delicious. They also have the BIGGEST martini's in Brooklyn. One is enough!!! And since the renovation, it's even better!

Have been coming here since it was named Gloria's, which had to be over 30 years ago and that is why I can't understand why 1 reviewer had such a problem. Maybe it was an off night!!?? I even came with a group of over 15 relatives and they all loved it and there was no problem at all! I eat here at least once a week and have always enjoyed both the food and service. Gina, the owner's daughter, always tries to see that everything is fine and the rest of the staff is also very helpful. The place looks very nice and inviting since the renovation. Good food and a nice atmosphere are what I look for in a restaurant!

What an embarrassing moment when we took our friends out to this place. After the renovation, the place looks really nice. So we reserved a table of 7 and ordered. After 2 hours, after getting bs answers from the manager and waiters, after seeing people who came in after us finishing up their entreees, the food finally came.
Except my boneless chicken scarpariello was fully boned. After waiter repeated the ""boneless"" part of my order back to me.
But come on! 2 hours!!?!?! no bread? no oil? no apologies?

Been coming to this restaurant now for at least 5 years and can honestly say have never encountered anything but an excellant meal, no matter what was ordered, from the simplest pastas to the more involved dishes. Have recommended it to many people, and never got a negative response from anyone! Only raves!
