I RECENTLY CAME BACK FROM L&M TOURS TRIP TO BOSTON AND SALEM. WE GOT OFF TO A BAD START WHEN THE TOUR GUIDE SAID THAT THE ITINERARY HAD BEEN CHANGE. INSTEAD OF SALEM ON SATURDAY AND BOSTON ON SUNDAY, IT WAS REVERSED, HE WOULDN'T TELL US WHY. WE WERE ANNOYED BECAUSE WE WANTED TO TAKE THE WITCH TOUR AT NIGHT IN SALEM. ALSO, HE SAID WE WOULD BE STAYING AT AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT HOTEL IN A DIFFERENT TOWN. WE SHOULD ALL BEEN NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE OF THESE CHANGES BUT WEREN'T. THE HOTEL WAS A DUMP, ONE BED WAS JUST A PULL-OUT SOFA WITH A VERY THIN MATTRESS AND THE ROOM SMELLED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE. THERE WAS NO RESTAURANT NOR LOUNGE IN THE HOTEL. ALSO, THE FIRST NIGHT IN BOSTON, WE WERE TAKEN TO AN UPSCALE SHOPPING MALL FOR SOME REASON, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, WE WERE THERE TO SEE HISTORIC SIGHTS, NOT A STUPID MALL. WE ATE IN A CHEAP (VERY) BUFFET TYPE RESTAURANT. MY FELLOW PASSENGERS WERE READY TO MUTINY THE NEXT MORNING. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE ONE OF THEIR TOURS, ALSO THEY LEAVE AT LEAST A HALF LATE FROM EVERY STOP

My parents recently returned from a bus trip with L & M Tours to Lake George, etc. Now quite a few folks on the trip with them were very satisfied but this isn't for the more discerning traveler. The main reason my dad booked this trip was because it offered a scenic train ride during the trip. This was cancelled and my parents notified only after while they were already on the trip. They were not offered a partial refund or advance notice; not good. Also no matter how much space was available at certain restaurants and the boat tour, they were confined to a small area, not the best area, where they had to stay and eat. This was all due to the staff apparently not wanting to go through the extra trouble of walking around. Even so, it was not even at the better tables. So they would go to a water view restaurant that was basically empty but still forced to sit all together in a sub-par area of the restaurant. Even the hotel choice, while nice, had my parents staying at the ground floor. Everything you can tell is the cheapest deal they could get. It was very upsetting to me to hear the recount of this trip that my folks were really looking forward to. This company needs to do a better job at customer satisfaction and give the client what they want, what they paid for, and what they think they are getting.

Went on our first trip with L&M tours last year up to the Finger Lakes. AWESOME time!!! Our hotel was great. We were able to take long walks and see the water. The trip itself was great also. The only two things that I found negative was the Mormon Church stuff. Too much religious nonsense and too many ppl trying to convert you into what they believe and having some guy who thought he knew everything. That guy was a bully. Even bullying our terrific tour guide. I wish we could have spent more time at the Kodak estate, but we spent so much time at the Mormom Church which I could have done without. I would definitely recommend this company to go away on tours. I think some of the reviewers have sticks up their asses because you know where you are going ahead of time and what to pretty much expect. If you not happy with L&M tours then stop using them.

This is a very unprofessional company and I have no intention of ever using them again. I booked 2 separate trips with L&M and paid them in full. But a week before each departure, they called to tell me they were canceling for “lack of interest.” It was very aggravating because each time, I had to go through a lot to get the days off from work.
Eventually, I did travel with L&M on a one-day outlet shopping trip to PA…. of which I expected to be transported in the standard 50 seat tour bus. Instead I was picked up in an old, dirty, musty smelling, 10 seat passenger van! Including myself, there were a total of 7 passengers. There was no leader/tour guide, only the driver (who was Chinese and spoke very little English). And, there were also no seat belts for the passengers either.
The final straw with L&M came a few months later when I called to ask some questions about their trip to Block Island. A rude btich named June was so curt and snooty with me that I hung up on her and decided never use L&M again.

I've went on numerous trips with my mother on L&M tours since 2002. I don't like that they disreguarded the pick up stop at Avuenue U. Now we have to wait for the bus for one hour to come infront of Dunkin Donuts in Bay Ridge. Niagara Falls was my favorite trip with them. I also don't like that they rush you and it's all over so fast, and arrive home before dusk, tryingto beat traffic. I traveled many places on the eastern seaboard with them. Some of the people aren't so friendly and nice, and are mostly to themselves. The tour guide Qua is very funny and entertaining and plays, DVD's, music, and trivia..... He hands out, lollipops, pens, and upcomming tour books for the passengers. The last day tour I was on was on June 12th, 2009 to the Philadelphia Jewish Museum. A very big dissapointment, a chunk part of it was closed and will reopen in the fall of next year 2010. We saw the temple though. Many people were VERY dissappointed!!!!!!!!!!
Not cool. We had to leave early, not good either. We got to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and a historical Tour of Philadelphia, which is village-like and old fashioned. The kosher lunch was terrible. And to top things off this six year old boy wouldn't stop following me all day long. He followed me everywhere I went. He was cute, but wouldn't leave me alone. What a nuissance. His snobby granny couldn't controll him. He even followed me into the ladies room, how embarrassing. Otherwise I took photos for memory. Security was tight and strict. I also enjoyed the Penn Dutch Amish Country, and the resturaunt good and plenty has the best food and churned butter. Lots of cool experiences come with these tours.

Went on a 1 day trip with L&M to Peddler's Village/New Hope PA in May 09 and it was absolutely HORRENDOUS! Boarded the bus at 8am, and about a half hour later, the bus breaks down. Had to pull over 6 TIMES along a highway so the driver (a Chinese guy who couldn't speak a word of English) could get out and fix the problem. Each stop lasted 20-30 minutes, leaving us stuck on a long highway (in the pouring rain) with no rest stops. The 45+ passengers were forced to use the bathroom on the bus. Eventually the entire bus started smelling of human waste because the engine had to be turned off while the driver was working on it... thus no bathroom ventilation or air condition. Eventually the passenger's patience wore thin, and they started yelling at the tour guide (a moron named Gerry) to call for another bus. Gerry finally made the call and we ended up making it to a remote gas station at 12:30 pm, where we waited an HOUR for a new bus (and driver) to show up. We FINALLY get on the new bus. Since it was now 1:30 pm and half the day was over with (hardly enough time to sightsee), a majority of the passengers demanded to be taken back to NY, but Gerry said: ""No, you either continue with the trip or stay and wait for the broken bus to be fixed."" The passengers went BERSERK! Having no real choice, they stayed on the bus and we arrived at Peddlers Village just before 2 pm. We stayed there for an hour and a half, and went on to New Hope where we stayed for 1 hour, before starting the drive back home at 5 pm. On the way home, some of the passengers got into an altercation, screaming and yelling. Yet, Gerry did NOTHING to intervene. He just sat there with his wife, afraid to say or do anything. The bus driver was forced to take control and threatened to stop the bus if they didn't settle down. I called L&M the next day to complain and spoke to a woman named Francesca, who could have cared less about what happened. Couldn't wait to get me off the phone. No apology. No nothing. A week later I get a letter in the mail with a lousy $5 coupon off my next trip. A coupon I won't be using, because I will never travel with L&M again. Obviously, its understandable that buses break down and things happen. But as the tour guide, Gerry should have taken charge and called for a new bus the SECOND time we had to pull over! Not the SIXTH time.... and at the URGING of angry passengers! What would have been a minor glitch, turned into a horror show! Gerry's ineptness, complacency, and fear of calling the boss for a new bus, made the entire trip absolutely AGONIZING. And I find it INSULTING that L&M thinks $5 will make me happy after sitting on a bus for 10 hours, and only getting 2.5 hours of sightseeing. I have gone on a few trips with L&M in the past and ignored some of their questionable practices: 1) Drivers talk non-stop on their BlueTooth's WHILE DRIVING; 2) Qua, the OWNER of L&M yelled at a passenger who told him the driver missed the exit. Qua yelled into the microphone ""No one is perfect, only GOD is perfect! Then went into an embarrassing rant about God and religion. 3) L&M cancels a lot of their trips, saying: ""there isn't enough interest."" Apparently these were all warning signs of a poorly run company.... signs that I ignored until the Peddlers Village trip.
