I seriously could not give these guys a worse review... 1 star is already too generous.
We have a tub that won't drain, we call our landlord who tells us to be at our apartment between 3-5 pm. My husband leaves work EARLY and these jokers never show up. We call our landlord who says, "Oh, well they said they were there at 5 pm and you guys weren't home." Really? We were home, waiting for them, with our phones handy.
Our landlord calls back and tells us they will be there the next day at 7. Sure enough, 7 pm rolls around... no sign of these guys. I got a call at 9 pm and the person I spoke to LIES and claims that he called at 7 and that we didn't pick up. When I told him that this wasn't possible and that I didn't appreciate his dishonesty he said, "Well I don't like your tone and I see no reason for us to do business together."
Bottom line, these guys are inconsiderate, irresponsible and dishonest. I would never let them into my home and trust them to fix anything.

I got in touch with this plumbing company today which is a Sunday and I had a plumber at my door within less then 40 minutes. He was very pleasant, did his job, explained to me what was going on, suggested some ideas that should take place and the price was great! I am so happy that I used this company. If ever I need a plumber again, I will use this company!

The serviceman was 10 mins. late, but called to warn me. Upon arrival, he asked me a couple of questions and just proceeded to get to work, without explaining anything. He also seemed to be in a bad mood. I tried asking some questions but got curt answers. While cleaning out my sewer line, he showed me the roots that he encountered and recommended a higher level service that he mentioned a few more times, without being too pushy. When he finished, I asked a few more questions, trying to get him to warm up a bit. He felt better after I let him wash up in the sink. He explained that he was just tired. The job was done, but he could have cleaned up better and been more explanatory in what he was doing. He also broke a sewer cap that I didn't think he needed to since he didn't bother trying to unscrew it. He told me people just force them on anyway, which I don't think I did. So that cost me a trip to Home Depot and $7. I would still use them again.

These guys were the best. They showed up on time. They explained various techniques that they could use. They discussed the prices of those options. Then they went to work. And I do mean work.
The blocked pipe was the leader that takes the runoff from the gutters. It goes through the foundation wall of the house and then under the basement floor and out to the sewer. I'd tried cleaning it out myself and I knew this thing was packed solid. That was why I called for help.
The Econo Sewer guys gave this thing with everything they had. They managed to find the trap in the basement that nobody else could find. Working from both ends of the pipe they used the snake, the water jet and a lot of just plain muscle to blast the blockage. After about an hour there was an eruption of gravel, mud, pebbles and God knows what else out of the pipe. The block was gone and water was running freely through.
I opted to have the video camera put down the pipe to have a good look. In spite of the fact that the pipe was now clear enough to do the job there were still a few rocks down there. Without the video there was no way to detect them so I'm glad I chose to do it.
The guys set to work again. I'm talking about a guy on his knees on my basement floor with his arm up to the shoulder in a drain pipe pulling stones out of there.
After another hour they sent the camera down again. That pipe was as clean as a newborns conscience.
Everybody was happy. They cleaned up after themselves, packed the tools away and they were gone.
Check out the web site and you can get an idea of their services and prices.
Happily, I don't have a lot of experience with this kind of work so it's hard to judge the cost. I can tell you that I have not had a moments regret that I called Econo Sewer. I feel I got a good job at a reasonable price and I highly recommend this company.

My problem is a broken garbage disposal, which this guy doesn't repair. He's strictly a line cloggage guy - which apparently was the problem in the case of the aspargus review. I'm writing this review because he was so nice on the phone. Anybody else would have said, ""sorry, don't do that"" and hung up. But this man stayed on the line to listen to the details of my problem and help me figure out the appropriate place to call. Thanks again.

Extremely competent and friendly service. We live in an old brownstone in Park Slope. When we bought the house, we were told that there was no main housetrap and that this was a problem. Econo Sewear came out, explained everything they were doing in a very friendly, knowledgeable manner. They ran a machine through the piping system and explained to a non-plumber what was happening, that they weren't finding a trap. Handled the digging, brought in another man to help us out, and ultimately resolved the riddle. We couldn't be more satisfied with their service.

For years we have been experiencing problems with our basement bathroom backing up. It always seemed to happen at the worst time. We called in many plumbers who cleaned out our line and told us we were ""good"" and should not have anymore problems. But that was not the case!! I can't tell you how much it has cost with money but the time and aggravation was the biggest expense. We called EcoSewer expecting to get the same results but alias we were pleasantly surprised. They came down with a video-camera checked the line and found the problem. Tree-roots, sand, oil and grease and the like were the culprits. They left and returned a 1/2 later with the water jet cleaner and they clean out everything. They put the camera back in the line to show me how it looked after they finished the job. They recorderd the entire process on video tape to show my husband. It took 2 1/2 hours and cost $450. Well worth it. I wished I had called them first!!

When your husband loads your sink disposal with the stems from 7 bunches of asparagus five hours before a party for 25 people at your house, you find yourself in a bit of a pickle. You know you have to call a plumber, but if you can even get someone there in time you fully expect to get financially screwed and deal with general unpleasantness. Then in rides Econosewer on a white horse. They were very nice on the phone, were available right away, showed up as promised (a bit late, but they called first to let me know), were nattily dressed in uniforms and were extremely efficient and friendly in person. The cost for an emergency successful plumbing of my sink? $85!! I couldn't believe it. They even put all the junk back underneath the sink when they were done, and cleaned up after themselves. What a great experience. I recommend this reliable, wonderful company without reservation.
