I was very insulted by the unprofessional comments of the technician performing my test. To add insult to injury, while she was making me feel uncomfortable while in a vulnerable position, she was actually training someone! What a disgrace.
On a different note, it would not kill anyone at the front desk to smile and say ""can I help you"".
When going for certain procedures, there is always a sense of anxiety and nervousness on the part of the patient. Naturally, you would anticipate a certain level of kindness, if not reassurance. Many of us work in professions that require contact with the public. Unless you've just crawled out of a cave, you recognize that certain scenarios require a level of courtesy.
Apparently, the wonders of modern medicine have allowed us to experience, first hand, the bedside manner of such a cave-woman. One technician is a horror previously only read in fiction novels. While I won't go into the grisly details of her completely inappropriate behavior during my procedure several weeks ago, suffice it to say I was stunned to the point of being unable to respond.
If I'm stupid enough to give this facility another shot, and end up with the same technician next time, I may step out of character and smack her in the face. There are few people who can bring me to that point.

I have now been there twice, once for an x-ray and once for an MRI. Both times i have encountered nothing but rude people at the front desk. I was downstairs both times and each time the girls (all of them) made me feel uncomfortable and as if I were inconveniencing them. It was the asme way every time I spoke to someone on the phone as well. The wait was also ridiculous. My original MRI appointment was cancelled because they thought they might close early due to snow and it seemed as if they rescheduled everyone on the same day.
I will say that the tech that did ther MRI was fantastic and very pleasant. As great as he was, I will not be returning to Bay Ridge Medical Imaging because the overall experience was horrific.

Bayridge medical imaging is so convenient in terms of travelling. As soon as I entered this place, I was greeted nicely by the receptionist immediately within a minute. The atmosphere was very nice and pleasant. The staff was so nice and respectful. I am 60 year old lady and technician holded my hand and asked me how am I feeling before taking me in for the test. At the time of leaving the room, I wanted to book an appointment for a follow-up and I was so amazed that the receptionist on herself asked me if I want to book an appointment. I have never had such kind of servive anywhere before in my entire life. The billing department took care of me so well that i did not had to look back for anything. The billing department staff was so polite and courteous while anwering and resolving querries. I would advise people that if they want such services, then go to BRMI to take advantage of this services.

Please Note-- You will find that ALL of the ""Positive"" reviews entered below were entered on the same date 9/23/09---- Look suspicious ? maybe staff members FLOODED the board to off-set negative reviews ? You may also recognize certain buzz words common to several of them
1 On more than one occassion I've received bills in the mail for copayments that I had made in cash at the time of service.
On the first occassion I was unable to find my receipt, received a second notice and sent them a check. Once I found the original receipt , I sent it to them. It took weeks and many phone calls to get refund.
I am now in a 2nd similar situation and unable to find the receipt for a service performed OVER 1 YEAR AGO. They seem to believe the burden is on me to produce the receipt instead of them taking responsibility for their own books and policies.
My advice to prospective clients: GET A RECEIPT AND KEEP IT WHERE YOU CAN FIND IT
2 An unrelated incident a very rude office staff member gave me a very unecessarily hard time about the logistics of a pre-screening blood test- VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Would not allow me to even get the question out.
3 Same office staff member: I handed a written request to send results to a 2nd doctor. It was just silently and rudely handed back to me with no explanation of policy or legality.
4 One time I waited several hours for a procedure. I noticed that a number of people who arrived latter than I were going in ahead of me. I made several inquiries to the receptionist to no avail. Finally the technician came aut to the office area to ask if she had any other patients. The office staff told her no. I said hey what about me ? She said who are you ? and told me there was no folder ready for me. After she made inquiry to the office staff it seems, there had been a scheduling mix up and the office staff was just going to ignore it for as long as they could. The tech was absolutely FURIOUS at the office staff. She apologized. Once she took me in she was ranting about their INCOMPETENCE.
I don't have a problem with the medical or technical staff once I get through the doors, but the billing and office staff--NIGHTMRE
The service of Bayridge Medical Imaging is simply the best I have ever got in my life. The service is really amazing. It's really worth going there. All the doctors are of a huge help and care takers.

I was refered to this place by a friend and I was very please with the service. The staff was wonderful and courteous. I love that the office was very clean and bright. They explained the procedure and answered the question I had. unfortunately I have been to other radiology centers and this was nothing like it. My visit took exactly 30 minues. The procedure itself was nothing major. My friend already told me what to expect.. It took about 10 mins. The technologist was talking to me about movies so I didnt even notice it was done.
I am very happy that i went to Bay Ridge Medical Imaging. From the moment I was at the office to the moment I left I was treated with excellent care any one can ask for. The Staff were very nice and explained to me and my boyfriend everything. Once it was time for me to go in the procedure room I got very nervous. I kept thinking it was going to be this painful horrible procedure. IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THAT ALL. The whole thing took 15 mins and my boyfriend was with me the whole time, not to mention the technologist were talking to me during it to distract me. They made me feel so comfortable and safe the whole time. When it was over I said, thats it!. This place is truly amazing. It’s worth every dollar. I can’t thank them enough. Do the right thing and call Bay Ridge Medical Imaging, you will not regret it. I hope my review will help people make the right decision for their Imaging procedures.

Everyone from the front office staff to the technologist was very courteous, professional and caring. The staff is truly amazing and you can tell that they care for the welfare of their patients. I would recommend this facility one thousand times over.
I had never even had a ""scare"" before this, so all of this was a new experience for me. The staff made it much less uncomfortable, answering any questions on the procedure. Everyone was very friendly & helpful, & the overall experience turned out well. I really appreciated how straightforward everyone was & how much guidance & information was provided throughout. I highly recommend Bay Ridge Medical Imaging to all.

ok, very rude. went in for a routine checkup on my very early pregnancy. one person told me were to go. and another basically shut the lights told me to remove my pants, and during the examination wouldent even let me see the screen. when it was over, she basically said GOOD LUCK in a rudish way and off I went into the sunset! I will NEVER go there again in my life!!!!

I read the review from CityGirl and I had to write my own review as well. First let me just say she is 100% right about this place. The rudest, nastiest people work here. They act like they are doing you a favor. What I can add after going there 3 different times for a medical problem I needed to see a specialist. All I needed was for them to fax my records for 2 tests to the specialists. It took 7 phone calls and a threat that I would come down again to the office and create a scene if my records did not get sent out. I had to finally act like an animal and lower myself to their level to get this done. They do not care how sick anyone is. Avoid this place at all costs.

i was referred here by my doctor to get a simple xray...i made an appt and it still took me almost 2 hrs to see a techician!!! the staff there is rude, especially their ""managers""..they are not nice to their patients and so UNPROFESSIONAL. when i was there i even heard the staff curse and yell at each other and the managers did nothing about it. when i complained to the manager - Wendy...she just said sorry i can go somewhere else after i waiting for over an hour. i would advise everyone to stay away from here...not only are they rude and unprofessional, they ended up billing me instead of my insurance for the xray. there are so many other better places in brooklyn with better service than this one!
