I use to come to Armando's on Sunday nights not any more, food got really stale and the servers got slow and lazy too much talking very little serving. My burger DI Armando was over cooked and too well done. My chicken was OK but could have been better waitress forgot my beer twice in a row. This place is not like in the old days that is for sure it has been brought to my attention a similar res is suppose to open up soon on Montague st hope it will be better will half to see in a few weeks time when they open up. I also hope it will be cheap because Armando's just got too expensive for me for the quality of food that I ate that night.

My lasagna tasted really stale and the servers can be forgetful sometimes. I had to ask for red wine more then once. The food also came out to an exorbitant price more then what it was the last time I ate there three years ago before they renovated all over again for a Monday night when I was there two Mondays ago it felt like the staff was getting a little too lazy to give service saw one waitress falling asleep on her chair.
this is an OK store due to good renovation but was a little disappointed in the ravioli it could have been cooked better. It was burned slightly The waitress who served me forgot my amstel light beer three times. I think the mgr should have a talk with the cook because when I use to eat here it use to be cooked better now it feels like you are stuck in quicksand.
I like the way Armando's was remodeled and fixed up remembered when they were doing the construction while we were hanging out on Montague st. Unfortunately the food is not the same the cook messed up my calamari. I use to eat here on occasion I was really surprised this happened even my friends order was over cooked hope the general mgr has a talk with the cook because he really fouled up last weekend when I had dinner with a friend that evening.

I agree with a few other reviewers on the fact that Armando's did have a nice renovation before reopening a few years ago. The food is not the same anymore. I came back recently to give it another reprieve after having a bad experience with a waitress who was not attentive to my table when me and my girl had dinner there new years day.My pasta was burned slightly and a little over done. I hope that the general manager who some residents have tole me it is a new young lady will speak to the cook one day because this person cannot cook he messed up two of my meals. It hurts me to say this but until that situation is resolved what happened a few nights ago it will be a while before I come back. The second thing that annoyed me was that my cappuccino was very cold when I took a few sips from it, hard to believe what happened to this store it use to be alot better in the old days.

Armando's got way too expensive for the quality of food they cook and the staff is not what it used to be. It took me 20 min the other night to change my order because it was not cooked right, being charged $22.00 bucks a dish is not cool. My spaghetti could have been better if it wasn't over cooked.

Armando's did return even though it has been closed for a year before they reopened. I feel it is a crude return at that the menu prices are 5x what they were. The servers turned my order upside down more then once. I had to ask her to exchange some things that I didn't order. I order a red wine she brings me white instead. It took over 35 min before I could finally get my meal and drink. The reconstruction of the restaurant is decent but nothing to write home about think the residents of the heights are just sweating the restaurant way too much. I get better service for a better price at river deli on Joralemon st and Columbia Pl. Iam sorry to say this but Armando's made a dreaded return back to Brooklyn Heights and I wont be setting foot there.

I ate shrimp with pasta at this store for new years eve with my brother Vic. It turned out to be a nightmare we waited a while to be served our waitress was kind of slow. Our food finally came and the pasta was burned and the shrimp tasted really hard have reason to believe it was cooked well done not a smart move it should be cooked medium rare. In the interest of being fair I hope the mgr will look into this and speak to the cook this isn't the Armando's I know it use to be better.

I remember when they were doing construction on Armando's, it came out nice but that's the only thing I like about it. The prices went up immensely compared to the last time I have been there. I
ordered a lasagna on new years eve it was over cooked and burned. I took two sips from a cappuccino that was frozen. I had to ask twice to get another but it took a little while. I remember when there was a better cook in the kitchen this other guy who did it that night did a lousy job. My brothers sea food came out really stale sorry the store turned out to be dissatisfying.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. The shrimp that we ate was tough and inedible, the service staff was rude, when we sent the plate back for correction they sent it back worst than the first time. Then they didn't even let us complete our side dishes then tried to charge us for the uneaten food. We were more than willing to pay for the eaten portion, but the manager was belligerent with us and threw us out and said he didn't want our money, making us feel unappreciated... Most awful experience and as a blogger, that follows Brooklyn tourism this gets a F- , and that's all she wrote.

My first time eating at Armando's I was on a lunch date...it was a last minute choice, but there was just something about the look of this restaurant from the outside.
The hostess was so polite and friendly...like family. My date and I were waited on within minutes, and the lunch was so delicious. I went back to Armando's with friends from school a 2nd time and they loved it. Now this place has become my regular lunch hour choice while I'm at work in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Not many places are left like this one, and I'm only 30y.o.

I also disagree with all of the negativity being reviewed about Armando's reopening.
Last year, what did you have here...terrible Spicy Pickle loser franchise gone bad, LaTraviata, which is filthy and the ill mannered owner at Cafe Buon Gusto?
You prefer an owner that is all smiles and runs a crappy restaurant or a interested proprietor that runs a no-nonsense landmark establishment.
I know these people and they are hard working, caring owners that will take care of any legitimate request or complaint to accomodate their customers.
Yes, the staff was not great the first week or two but theat has been fined tuned to what I can see and things are starting to run fine....try the bar....great bartender and friendly people always there!
Hey, stop whining and give the place a chance. If you got a problem, make it legit and voice it directly with the owner in a place of the restaurant that the whole place is not an audience. Have class when voicing disapproval.
Try it again with a positive attitude....Ive been in many restaurants all over Brooklyn and this always was and will be #1 with me.

Armando's was my favorite place in the heights for years. I was heart broken when they closed!! I was also ecstatic when I found out they reopened!! I went there last night and I could not believe it! They are even better then before!! They added a few new additions to the menu but kept all my old favorites. They also remodeled the inside and it looks amazing!! After dinner my boyfriend and I decided to have a drink at the newly remodeled bar and ended up hanging out for a couple of hours!! The staff was so friendly and the drinks were so good we could not help it!! There are very few places in Brooklyn Heights that have a Bar where you can just hang out. I am so pleased with the new and improved Armando’s!!!!
