GARBAGE!!!! New York Optical at 48 Graham Avenue in Brooklyn is atrocious. Customer service is garbage. The older lady manager is a lier and a hustler. This a chop shop. You go there you’ll be there all day even with an appointment. All they care about is conning people out of money. They could care less if you have insurance it’s all about cash up front also you’ll be waiting for ordered glasses or contacts for weeks turning into months. This place is horrible do yourselves a favor if considering this place go somewhere else.
Best local optical store in Williamsburg. Quick service and very knowledgeable doctor. Highly recommended.
I chose that optical store of basing on the high customer’s reviews and distance convenience. However, my experience was so sad. I did order 2 pairs of eyeglasses and still I couldn’t wear either of them: one progressive and a separate pair of glasses for reading. I paid only for progressive lenses $470, but when I received my Silhouette progressive eyeglasses and looked up in the distance, the distance vision had become not clear and slightly blurry. (I successfully used to wear progressive lenses for 18 years without any problems from other professionals). My attempts to come to a store back and have them re-adjusted by moving lens further toward or away from the eyes did not help me. The primary importance of the progressive eyeglasses is fitting and getting it right from the first time, it has not happened to me in that store even after several times. Moreover, when I did pick the both pairs of eyeglasses up they were with a curved frame to one side and required the adjustment right away and was not done until I pointed on it; still it was not corrected right. Before placing my order, I tried to get done some small repair to other pair of eyeglasses, it did not go well either. If the experienced optician will get immediately a good result with strong Rxs to position the lenses properly in front of the eyes, measure accurate PD, correct fitting heights, tilt and an optimum vertex distance(VD), it seems that Marina was trained in convincing you that the eyeglasses are right rather than make those eyeglasses right. In total, I wasted my money over $700 plus charge from my insurance, my time and get a full frustration and headache trying to wear new eyeglasses.
Convenient Brooklyn location, lots of snazzy, adventurous glasses, and smart doctors who were able to address my needs. Highly recommended!
Good location in Brooklyn, with lots of designer eyewear, from Prada to Ray-Ban, D&G to Burberry, and many others. Affordable pricing, and skilled eye doctors who know what they're doing.
Dr. Steinman is absolutely amazing! He is very professional, friendly, and makes me feel comfortable asking questions about my eye care... That being said, the staff are the complete opposite. They made me feel like an idiot because I didn't understand the insurance policy on one visit and they ridiculed me "quietly" while I was standing right there. I have been going there for years but will not be returning. Sorry Dr. Steinman.
I personally had a really great experience here. I have been going back here for quite some time now because their selection of eyewear is better than the other optical places I have been to in Brooklyn and their prices for designer glasses are great. Their staff is really warm and friendly and their eye doctor was super professional each time I went.
This place is optimally located and has very professional staff. The glasses are fairly priced as well.
Convenient location, very pleasant staff, always running on time, and are very accommodating. Do recommend!
This location is conveniently in Brooklyn near me. They have a wide selection of eyeglasses. The optometrists expertly picked out the pair.
