I usually don't take time to give a review but I was impressed with the great customer service that I received today at a Touch of Glass. I definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to replace a car window. The service I received met my expectation and the administration was professional and friendly. There was a little wait which I understood since there were customers ahead of me. I'm definitely a satisfied customer.
I found a project that I wanted to do and I called Bear glass to discuss the details based in my measurements. I picked up my custom cut piece of glass and they friendly staff helped me get it in the car.
BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY I EVER DEALT WITH! Took my money a month later had not started the job, three weeks after that still not delivered. Owner Ira would never come to the phone!! Girls in the office blamed each other- HORRIBLE DO NOT USE THEM!!
Fantastic and professional from start to finish! Bear Glass was the third place that I visited on my frame less shower enclosure excursion, and am I glad I stopped by Bear Glass!
I tried to buy glass of them not so long ago. My only compliant is that I didn't find them sooner =)
Andreen was very helpful with the measurement over the phone for our glass whiteboard. I ve got a quote, placed the order and next day i had my whiteboard installed.
Very professional guys. Fast service. That is the most important for me.I primarily worked with Laura. I would recommend her since i was getting good service off her.
I dont know how good they are as a long run supplier. But i spent much time searching for 1" low iron glass and only bear glass had it. People were kind. Will try them again if i get a chance.
My windshield had to be replaced and the only reason I went with this place was because they were available to come the following day. Price wasn't relevant as this was covered by insurance. They were so unprofessional that by the time the drivers actually got here to replace the windshield, I almost wanted to send them on their way. They were jerking me around all day with "driver will be there soon" without giving me any kind of a window on timing and when I finally got irritated and told them I need them to give me a time frame they told me "Listen, sweetheart, we've been doing this for many years and know what we are doing" - and then hung up on me!
If there was an award for worst business practice, Bear Glass would be on the short list. I ordered two pieces of patterned glass to be tempered and the salesperson said he had the glass in stock and with tempering it would take about a week. I was busy with other jobs and did not check in with them until three weeks later. The rep said the glass was cut and was at the tempering facility. Another week goes by and I call to get an update. No one knew what was going on with my order, but would call back by end of day. Having received no call, I called the next morning and the rep told me that one of the pieces of glass broke and would have to be re cut and sent out again to be tempered. The rep informed me that it should be ready by next Tuesday. So, according the Martian calendar that Bear Glass apparently uses my glass should be ready by Twelfth Night? I would expect this kind of incompetence if Bear Glass were the only glass company in a 200 mile radius in a sparsely populated part of the country, say, Wyoming, but this is New York City. The rules of competition apparently do not apply in South Slope. STAY AWAY, STAY VERY FAR AWAY!
