Horrible horrible experience. Upon first walking in with a groupon on my scheduled time the salon owner asked whether I already purchased it and I said i did than right after she wanted me to press redeem which i did not because no service was provided yet. Then she tells me that the service I bought I wont be happy with and if I want to be happy with my service I will have to pay additional $60. Mind you she said that price after she requested to see how much I paid for my groupon and then she was able to calculate how much further to RIP me off. At this point, I just got up and left. BEWARE THIS PLACE WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF... DOES NOT UPHOLD GROUPON PRICES.
I have been going to Maya for over 12 years and she is the reason my friends and coworkers say ""You're hair always looks good."" She is an amazing…
Great service, stylist, Angie, took her time. I like my new look, suggested by stylist. I'm absolutely coming back to this place even with hard to find a parking space in this neighborhood.
Don't go there dorette has no courtesy or gratitude towards her paying customers and the workers love to chat people and their business
Anthony is the best Hair Colorist
I went to get a single process and they did a horrible job !! My hair was brown with reddish tint and my roots were coming out natural hair is light Goldish ash brown .. I asked them if they can get me light ash brown to blend with my roots they said they can do it.. anyway they claimed they used level 6 of ash brown and the result was : my hair CAME OUT too DARK almost a BLACK color !! They promised I would go lighter and I ended up with color way darker than when I walked into the salon !! I will never forgive this shity treatment !! And they even charged me extra claiming that they used color correction ! Screw that !
The worst $150 I have spent. Their Groupon keratin treatment is a scam and I would rather burn my money the next time than go to them. It all starts with a $99 Groupon purchase. Then you pay $25 for every two inches. So even if your hair is 2.5 inches beyond should length, you pay $50 more. But you don't mind because you expect a good result considering you are paying more. Then you are promised "beautiful, silky" hair. If your stylist is Lauren, she will refer to everything about you as "beautiful". So much that the term has lost its meaning to me. The promised "beautiful" hair probably don't mean anything because there is no result guaranteed unless you purchase the conditioner and the shampoo from their salon. I recommend that if you make the god forsaken mistake of getting a keratin treatment from them, then you do purchase the conditioner and shampoo from them, so that when you get zero results after your wash, you can go back to them. I made the mistake and they told me that I was lying about washing my hair with their recommended shampoo. Obviously I am crazy that I would spend all that money on my hair and then not purchase a $40 set to maintain it. They then accused me of buying a cheap, Chinese rip-off shampoo-conditioner set instead of the original one. Every time I tired to tell them that I had been getting the treatments for a while now and I knew the whole regime, they interrupted me and said that they couldn't take me for my word. The whole experience made me feel stupid but I feel sorry for them, that they are capable of providing such a substandard service!
Maggie has done an exceptional job with my haircut and balayage!! I received so many compliments and got exactly what I wanted. The salon is very clean and friendly staff. Maggie goes out of her way to accommodate her clients needs and loves what she does and that shows with her work. I was getting late so Maggie and Mathew both blow dried my hair and that says a lot about how much they care for their clients. You can trust her blindly and she will do her magic on you!!!
The worst experience I've ever had and I've been straightening my hair for 15 yrs. It was so horrible, I had stop her, couldn't bare to suffer through the experience any longer. Walked out with it unfinished, looking worse than I did when I came in. My hair is natural but trained and she attempted to pull all my hair and edges out with the fine tooth comb and couldn't manage to get my roots straight with the blow dryer or flatiron. To add insult to injury the manager is useless with a bag of excuses. Livid doesn't describe how I feel right now. Should've listen to my gut, when I saw the outside of the place thought to myself this place is rundown probably won't be any good. But the previous reviews said otherwise, so I gave it a chance. Hope the next natural girl, who wants to preserve their edges sees this and doesn't have to suffer through the same fate as me.
These guys are fantastic. I do not have the healthiest hair, but this Aveda Salon ensured that my hair improves while I color it. I am amazed! They are truly the bets in terms of quality and assurance.
My scalp is chemically burned, there’s chunks of dry, dead skin all over my head, with patched of hair coming out, & my hair is burnt to a crisp; lifeless and dry. I now need to cut at least six inches off my hair for it to look somewhat decent. I didn’t receive the result that I wanted, the job was not done correctly! I want my $180 back. Overall unprofessional salon, rude management, NO license up, no sanitizer on stations, dirty tangled up hair brushed everywhere, and dirty sink. SAVE your money, & save your time, DON’T GO HERE!!! Go to a PROFFESIONAL salon, like Adam’s, Lotus, or Delacqua! June 28th, 5 PM, entered this salon with a photo of an ombre hairstyle & asked if the stylist can recreate it & they said yes, it’ll cost $130, should be done in about 3 hours. I agreed & we got started. 2 ½ hours later. My scalp is burning up & the resulting hair color is the same as when I walked in! I asked the owner when the darker color is coming in, and she said it’s be a separate appointment along with a additional $70 – for the same style she originally told me $130 for. They made the appointment for Friday, june 30 at 1pm & told me I had to pay upfront. I was going to pay via credit card, but the owner said she only accepts cash ( to avoid paying taxes) & opened the door & sent me to the ATM across the street. She said she did me a “favor” and took $20 off, so I paid $180 cash, and when I asked for my receipt, she said the register was closed and I had to come back for it the following day. I posted my before and after pictures in a local beauty page on Facebook, and dozens of people reached out to me, many also had horrible experiences with this salon. I don’t trust them to fix their mistake, they’ll just damage me hair and scalp even further. 6/29, I came to pick up my receipt but both the owner and stylist were on their day off, so I came in the next day, 6/30 to cancel the 1pm appointment, get my receipt, and get a refund. I asked for the receipt and the same owner said that salons don’t give receipts & there’s no way I’ll be getting one from her. She said she can only refund me $15 out of the $180. She said she saw my facebook post, and demanded I take it down, to which I replied HECK NO! I asked her where the stylists license is, and she said it’s none of my business! I told her it’s the law to have it in plain sight, and she said nope, it’s for her as the owner to have for record, not for the public. She started cursing at me in Russian & yelling at me to get out of her store, because the only option is to “FIX” their mistake, not refund my money for THEIR mess up. She knowingly took the license off the wall, and hid it somewhere because she saw that people in the beauty group online told me to go snap a pic of it and report it to Albany, and she knew I’d be coming in to take that photo. DON’T GO HERE!!! Go to a PROFFESIONAL salon, like Adam’s, Lotus, or Delacqua!
