Brooklyn, NY Check Cashing Service

The service is awful! Went today to get 3 money orders as I do every month. The cashier had an attitude because I asked for them one at a time, 'because they usually get the amount on one wrong even though I say the amount 5times'. So I asked for my third money order & the cashier says no I bought 2 & I need a passport to buy another money order. So I told her I don't have a passport & I go every month & buy 3-4 money orders with no passport', & she still refused to sell me a money order. So ask for the manager & he says u need I need a drivers license or passport because I bought 2 money orders already. So I asked if a NY state Medicate card with my picture was good instead & he says yes, as I handed him my card the cashier says something to him I couldn't hear & he then changes his mind & says no u need a passport, after I told him I don't own one. They were rude, even as I was leaving the cashier said I couldn't come later and buy a money order for a dollar without a passport. I think it's horrible that they can discriminate and choose who the sell money orders to.

Horrible horrible service!!!!! First there's only one window open while there is a bunch of cashiers just standing around talking and cursing about their personal business,they also stare at people and start whispering. The manager is a short girl with dark hair who does nothing to help her customers. Every time I go in there is someone arguing with her ,she can't answer customers questions!! Please do something about this !!!!

Total disaster of employees attitude! Don't go there people! They shout, they curse, they are doing completely wrong job!

This place discriminates on anyone who is not Caucasian. Two woman work as cashier's who are at least in their 60's. Instead of a courteous morning greeting she tapped on the glass as I stood in line as a gesture to next. Tacky. Then once I handed her my check from my place of employment she quickly handed the check back stating 'we do not cash checks from employers who are not from around this area". "The bank Chase accepts those with proper I.D." A complaint to the guys who sponsored this place is coming with smoke attached.

horrible service, they never want to give you money, but theyre always willing to take your money. More inclined to help the jewish population than any regular customer. They clearly rather not have anyone's business but their preferred cliental ...They wouldn't cash a check without my work ID, even though I had my NYS driver's license with matching address..Oddly enough my work ID doesn't have my photo nor my address yet they wanted that... This place is a joke and are run by con men and women...

This place is absolutely the worst. It is smelly, the employees look like they work for Satan, and the manager is extremely disrespectful, especially given the fact the he is the manager of a place called "Checks Cashed" in Brownsville. Avoid at all costs, but hey, if you need to go to a place like this, you're probably not reading this.

This pay-o-matic is AWFUL! 90% of the time the lobby stinks! Today it smelled like rancid armpits... On Friday's they never seem to have enough people at the window. They never do period! But Friday's they should be fully staffed, given that's a day that most people get paid, pull money out, pay bills, etc etc! It's obviously got poor management issues. They should consider fixing these problems. May I suggest proper venting for the lobby and air freshener... If you're gonna keep us in line so long I mean?!?

This place has new ownership and is great. Fast.

If this is the one by the BIG CVS and the Post Office this is for you. Okay I have so much to say about this place,it's not even funny.No I am and was not satisfied.Why is it I after I cashed a check that the woman at the other place ,and I offered to give the woman the number she was talking about she couldn't call?Like the lady at the last place was able to,after she called whatever number to find out what was wrong.Talking about what's my address,and is it a tax return check?Like one know that I have been there before why are you asking me about my address,and do you think if it was a refund check that you would even be asking me questions?NO!It's like of ALL of the signs in a freaking check cashing store why isn't there one that says that on it?It's not that she couldn't she didn't want to.Poor customer service.They need to step their game up,and take all types of business checks.I think they have these jobs to people like me off on purpose.They need to have a list of business checks that they do take.Like it's easy for them to talk mess they have a job,I'm still trying to find one.GET IT TOGETHER!!
