This is our second year at Chickpeas. Chickpeas is a preschool with a mix of 3 and 4 year olds (UPK for the 4 year olds). Sending my son to Chickpeas, without a doubt, has been one of the best decision I've made as a parent so far. It's the most warm, loving, fun environment. The teachers are amazing - kind, funny, attentive, loving and just so enthusiastic about teaching all our little ones. The school and the community are wonderful, but the teachers are really what make the school so special. Just last week my son was out sick and we got the most lovely message from the teachers calling to say they hope he felt better, and passed the phone around to the entire class, so he got a special get well message from each and every one of his classmates. Chickpeas really is a special place. I feel so lucky that I get to send my son there everyday.
I could not be happier with the care my son receives at BeyBeeSit Day Care. His learning has taken off since he started spending the day with these wonderful, caring professionals in their sparkling clean, beautiful facility. He eats healthy meals, gets fresh air and exercise every day, and is surrounded by his favorite toys, books and friends. I get a report on his daily activities and his caretakers keep me up to date about his progress and make helpful suggestions for ways that I can support his learning and growth at home. Best of all, I never feel that sending him to day care is a compromise -- I know that Oksana and Nataliya are treating him with the same loving care that I would provide for him myself. I can go to my job feeling totally confident that he is in great hands and knowing I don't have to worry about a thing.
Overall it's a great place for your kid to go to! I love the facility, personell and their approach to kids. My only disappointment has been there so far is that the teacher of one of the pre-K groups left. She is an amazing teacher. She was trying so hard to make kids actually learn things. So now there is the new teacher on her place which I'm not fond of, unfortunately. She seems much less motivated into the whole teaching process. I don't mean to sound rude, but she seems to me to care less about the outcome of the kids she teaches.I hope he owners will keep my humble critics in mind and do something about that in the future. Otherwise, I love this day care. My son adores it, too. Especially Marina, the teacher assistant, he seems to be in love with her :)
My son has been going to Alice in Wonderland daycare since september 2014 and he started at the age of 2.6 and he knows all his colors, shapes, numbers, and he's also tracing his name. My son also gets homework three days a week which I love because he will be ahead and ready for school. I love the hours and the staff and the weekly fee is very very reasonable compared to most daycares. My son also learned how to pray which I love and I would recommend this daycare to anyone. My son just celebrated his birthday at the daycare last week and Ms. Alice did her thing!!! she dedicated the whole day to my son. Ms. Alice purchased food and did all the decorations with her own money and played age appropriate music for the kids and my son had a blast!!!
Our only child has been attending here since the age of 2. He was blessed to have had excellent, caring and compassionate teachers each year. He learned a lot both academically, socially but also culturally. I personally feel that this school has become an extended family to us. Having been a first time very protective mom, the school made me feel comfortable about leaving my child there. My son loves the school, staff and friends he has made there. I have also made good friends there as well. I would say they are child centered, very family focused. I love what the programs they have for Christmas, Easter, Black History month. They also have an African drummer come by once a week. My son also got to go on many exciting field trips.
This place is great. They are extra attentive to the children they service and their classroom structure works on many child development skills.I found it difficult to find a daycare that meet my needs of being educationally appropriate. Many daycare's have curriculum's posted that they don't follow. However Generation 21 Daycare has a great curriculum that really focused on the needs of the children. They helped my child on his language skills and pronunciations. Consistency, dedication & caring adults are just some of the many qualities I wanted in the place and people that would care for my son and I found it at Generation 21.
They were so helpful getting my son Lucca in school. They helped me to apply for the ACS program so my daycare was affordable. They were very nice and I find the teachers and staff very friendly. I would truly recommend this daycare for anyone who is looking for good place to leave their kids. He is also starting Pre-K here which I'm very excited about. They also help doing the application for Kindergarten. May son has developed very well here. He is potty trained which he wasn't before he came here. They also help you if your case is about to close. Me and my kid are very happy to be here.
Disclaimer: I was a former employee. The Directors make it a point to hire the best therapists and support staff. They also continuously offer trainings to all staff and encourage both therapists and staff to continue education within their field. Their commitment to the Special Needs community and their desire to truly help families and children make them stand out among other agencies. I would recommend them whole-heartedly to anyone who is in need of Early Intervention services.

Having personally seen how the classes take place in the Williamsburg Northside elementary school and also through the narrations of my child who attends the school, I am positive that the school is a great place for little learners like my child. The dedication of the teachers and staff, the comprehensive academic curriculum and the incredible diversity in the classrooms are the highlights of the school which positively affect the child’s development.
