The owner Joe is as crooked as they come. He came to me with an incredible price if i prepayed for my oil this past winter. I'm on a fixed income, so every penny counts and I went along with his deal to try to save money. I gave him $3000 in advance to buy this cheap oil he promised me. Unfortunately he barely delivered 300 gallons to me all winter. I've tried calling the number but its disconnected and my neighbor who also used to buy from him told me she heard that he's out of business. I've gone to the address he has listed a few times but it's a house and no one ever answers the doorI plan to go to the Bronx District Attorney and report him and hopefully get this crook arrested!

Wish I could give them less than a star! Horrible customer service! Didn’t deliver when they said they would and when I called to complain they just kept hanging up on me.
Schildwachter is usually a good company but recently they have been slipping. The service guy came to do his yearly maintenance on the boiler. Everything was running fine before he came but after he left there was no heat or hot water. At first I though maybe the system needs time to warm up. As time went on it was still the same. No heat or hot water while its 35 degrees outside. I called the company and they kept saying someone would be there but no one showed up until the next morning. The worst part of it is when the guy came to service my boiler the day before he left the relay wire loose which caused all this in the first place. I will be taking my business elsewhere. One account lost. Keep up the good work guys. Peter, I suggest you get another job because you're not doing this one well.
Tony, who is the mechanic for this company came to my home today and it has been the most atrocious experience I've ever had. He came to service my oil boiler and did not clean the glass area and left all the soot in the chamber not vacuumed. Tony stated that he did not want to change the glass container because he did not have one to replace it, if it got broken. He also indicated that it was not a part of the service to vacuum which I know definitely was a lie. When I spoke to the supposedly owner of the company he stated that he was suppose to vacuum. He said he would come back to finish the job. I asked about Monday the 19th of September but he said no that won't be possible, so we both decided on Tuesday. He was then demanding $150 in cash. When I asked for a receipt he said they do not give receipt and when I insisted he said the owner would mail me one. Tony insisted on not leaving my house so then I had to call the police.
