Totally horrible! My husband was bleeding urine due to trauma & had to have a CT of abdomen, after visiting urgentway we were sent to get a CT scan at the office in Westchester Avenue in the Bronx ...we schedule an appt for Saturday at 8:30am.At 11:40 am they reviewed order and told him he could not have CT mind you he had been fasting all am cause Md had to give order for pelvis/ abdomen. When my husband called me to tell me, I was irate we needed to go back to Md and get another order BUT none of the staff at this medical office could contact his doctor and request this done; or make sure that this patient got attended properly.Patients are human, and should be treated with respect and dignity.I told my boyfriend not to leave the office that I would contact the office.I spoke to Destiny, ready & willing to help with professional and making sure that once again.the docs needed were sent over. Don’t know her from a hole on the hall BUT as an MA- not sure if that’s her title or not I have to say her willingness and effort to make sure that my husband got his exam, & got us results says more than a title. It turned out she had spoken to the office same morning at 10am & she send all pertinent docs needed. After various hours of going back and forth.. exam was done close to 3pm in a fasting phase!!!!You would not believe that a CT for trauma, urgent... was neglected and everyone went home.. Still on Saturday, his report had not been read or even assign to a radiologist to sign off on. Until Destiny again called & spoke to a manager to make sure that someone understood the urgency of the test..Total laziness,I’m totally disgusted!it’s a shame that a exam that needs to be STAT gets no type of urgency or consideration. It’s absolutely ridiculous & unethical that a patient in an urgent state can get that type of treatment. We are human & in life we all can end up sick... treating people with respect & understanding it’s primorial when in the health field.
