If I could rate this business 0 stars, I would! Mr. Metz Furniture Repair is the most unreliable and unprofessional furniture repair business in New York. First, the person who answers the phones and repairs the furniture is the same man. This wouldn't be a problem if he was organized and not a scatter brain. I made an appointment a week in advance with Mr. Metz, he said he would call me the day before to confirm. However, I had to call him to confirm when we spoke he seemed confused, but assured me that he knew who I was and that I was the first appointment in the morning. This appointment was scheduled between 8 and 10 am. At 9:30, I received a text msg from him saying that he was running late because he's doing a job that morning and he'll be there around 12 pm. What?? You assured me that I was your first job! Now, it's 1 o'clock and no word from Mr. Metz, I had to call him to find out that he will be at my house before 4:30. At 3:45, still no follow up from him, I called and he explained that he was in traffic but on his way. At 4:45 pm, I texted and called Mr. Metz several times only to get no response and straight to voicemail. This company does not honor appointment times, a person's business or time. The repairman who may be Mr. Metz or a representative of the company is disrespectful which tarnished its integrity. Consumers, PROCEED WITH CAUTION THIS BUSINESS IS UNRELIABLE ANS UNPROFESSIONAL. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!!! DO NOT SOLICIT THIS BUSINESS!!!
I normally don't do reviews on these pages but I want to take a moment to share my happiness because these guys literally saved my life. So this is how it started,I bought a sofa about a month ago and it got delivered on July 12th 2017 . When the sofa arrived unfortunately it did not fit through the door. I was very very disappointed and I got hysterical because I paid quite a bit of money for it. So a friend of mine suggested that Mr.Metz Furniture Repair could help me by getting the sofa disassemble, long story short they came within an hour and half and gave me a reasonable price and performed a great job. Finally my headache was over. I am very happy with my results and I highly Recommend Mr.Metz Furniture Repair Good job Guys!
Well let start by saying that my puppy Simba did some serious damage on my bedroom set yesterday ����, but he is just a puppy so I forgave him of course, when he looks at me with those little puppy eyes. But let's cut the chase and go to the point, so I started by searching for a good furniture repair and came across the best one by luck. I call Mr. Metz Furniture Repair. Spoke to Johan a very professional and charismatic gentleman who schedule a visit to my home to look at the damages the very same day.As promise he came to my home on time and did a marvelous work on the pieces that my puppy had chew up quite deep. He letf it looking like nothing ever happened, ����♥️. Johan knew what he was doing quite well. He was very professional and friendly. I have other furniture pieces that need a little tender care and he will be working on them soon. I would recommend Mr. Melt Furniture Repair to anyone who's looking to have someone who is excellent at furniture restoring and repair and is not looking to spend a fortune for the job, because his prices are quite reasonable. I damaged the frame on my antique mirror and was devastated that I may not get back to good condition. I contacted Mr. Metz and I described in full detail what was wrong and what I was hoping to achieve. My mirror looks amazing and I am soooo pleased with the overall service received. Will most definitely be contacting Mr. Metz again.
Finding a furniture repair company is almost impossible out here. Two very friendly technician came from New york to Connecticut to repair an antique dresser. I called and made an appointment. I spoke with a nice gentlemen, very charismatic. They offered to drive over. They gave me an estimate. I had to pay a convinience fee to cover the cost of transportation, which was understanble. The guys that came for the job were very courteous and knew their stuff. They indeed are professionals! They did a phenomenal job. Ill definitely call them again
I called because my sofa needed some repair and a technician came to my house. He was very professional and expedience, he looked and sound like he knew what he was talking about.....he gave me an excellent price and fixed my couch on site....it took him about 3 hours and at the and i was very very very happy with the result....i highly recommend this company they are simply the best
I really regret not first checking the Better Business Bureau's website for information on Day One Restoration.When I did look them up in December 2014 it turns out they had an F rating (on a scale of A+ to F).I hired the company in September 2014 to restore a bookcase for me. The owner of the company told me 4-6 weeks.I gave him a deposit of $375. After 7 weeks I called them to find out what was going on. The owner said they needed another 2 weeks, then another 2 weeks, then they asked for another week. At that point I said enough, I wanted my bookcaseand my deposit back the next day. They refused. Then I went on the Better Business Bureau's website and saw the company's rating and complaint against them.I filed my own complaint with the Better Business Bureau.The company's owner and the administrator both told me the bookcase would be returned to meSaturday morning Dec. 20, 2014. That morning the company's administrator called and again asked for more time.I said that I would pay for any work that had already been done on the bookcase but I wanted it back immediately.I was told that the owner "Will not negotiate on price". Again I insisted the company return my property that day and they told me"It's not going to happen". So I filed a case in Manhattan's small claims court against the company.Finally, a third party's resolution department contacted the company on my behalf and the company returned my bookcase on 1/29/2015.My experience with this company has been horrible.A 4-6 week job ended up taking 4 months and I honestly believed I would never seen my bookcase again.Even though I am thrilled to finally have my Bookcase back and they did complete the repair job, I would never recommend this company to anyone.
