Review by Patrick A. Amaku 111 East 128 Street Apt 8S New York, NY 10035 Tel.646-715-9496 The driving instructors vary measurably in expertise and promptness. The lady instructor ( female black) for the last 2 driving lessons I did before my successful road test on Monday July 31, 2017 is the most expertise driving instructor.. She taught me some driving skills that all the driving instructors that I have ever had taught me. I am very sorry that I've forgotten her name..However, I'm very, very grateful and feeling relieved that my contact with and eventual business with Cross Way Driving school resulted in solving one of my lifelong problems and challenges..
ABSOLUTE WORST! They send a male drive and male matron WHO DON"T SPEAK ENGLISH to pickup non-verbal, wheelchair-bound special ed kids...UNBELIVEABLE! Driver and matron say they don't care about kid's needs; their job is ONLY to pickup and drop-off. Parents, if you get this bus company for your kids FILE A COMPLAINT with OPT IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
To be honest I have learned a lot with this driving school in my opinion they're probably the best driving school in New York if not the entire Bronx . I'll recommend anyone this driving school they truly care and they surely do not leave you disappointed .
Terrible service! I booked a trip yesterday for 6pm, the driver didn't get here until 7:12. I kept on calling the company and the lady couldn't give an explanation as to why they were running so late. She called to let us know that the van was coming and we still had to wait an extra 15 minutes for the van to show up. When the van did show up I ask the driver what had taken so long, he didn't respond, apparently he was "mute". I booked the trip for my nephew to get back to Philadelphia. Not only were they late but he didn't get home until after 11 pm. I would not waste my time with this service, if you want to get to anywhere. I would have zero stars if they had let me.
Bear Transportation towed my BMW on 2/6/2017 and damaged the radiator. When I paid the $186.00 to get it from their lot, it made it all of 10 blocks before I shut off from overheating. There wasn't a drop of coolant left in the car. I put coolant in at a local gas station and it came out of the bottom of the radiator. I called them and they said that they Dollied my car (it's all wheel drive)... my mechanic showed me the damage caused by their Dollie to the bottom of the radiator. Price tag $992.00 to repair!
This buisness illegally towed my car after colluding with Parkchester Dps. The ticket was dismissed for alleged violation after falsely moving vehicle from legal parking spot. This company did not Take photo's of my car which is policy to show car either had damage or doesn't have damage but in my case they say they forgot to GET pictures of my car and when I got to the storage place it was closed at 9 am 12/24/16 and I called some employee named George he was very disrespectful, arrogant and would not answer none of my questions about the damage to my car right fendor and door or where was my car towed from and told me he was the one who towed my car after pdps told him to move it I am still trying to get my refund.
I had a GREAT experience with CrossWay driving school. The only reason why I rated them "semi-perfect" score is because their website isn't informative at all. When you go to the school they give you a flyer with different price ranges. I feel like they should add all of that information to their website. Other than that a very good school... I've seen them negotiate good deals with clients/students that failed before and gave them a decrease in package deal, that's always good. I already knew how to drive prior to paying for 1 session. I literally paid for 1 (45 min) driving session so that they can set my appointment date, and to show them that I can drive, and that I'm very experienced. I'm considering my CDL A or B maybe out of pocket or hopefully I can get an vocational program like Vessid/Access VR or something else. I recommend this school to anyone especially if you are a newbie. I noticed the boss there wasn't one of those types that want you to fail so that you can continue spending money. He is actually the opposite of that, on test day... 2 - 3 hrs before the test, he was actually telling me the do's and donts. Just over all he seems like a gentlemen.
I had a great experience at CrossWay. I tried over 6 driving schools over the past 6 years and they were by far the most professional. Luis at the 3rd Avenue Bronx location was the best instructor, he was patient , knowledgeable, not overbearing and helped me get over my anxiety enough to pass the test finally! I recommend this driving school to anyone.
Just made the complain to 311 and consumer protection bureau for illegal towing and demanding cash to release the car for illegal lift on NYC streets. I guess this is how this low life LLC. are making they day pay. .
Awful business practices. They hitched my car, legitimately, but I stopped the driver before he moved my car. He told me he needed to move the car, moved it all of 20ft,and charged me $136 to unhitch the car. When I looked at the receipt, it clearly states that I editor have been charged $62.50 plus tax if the car is released at the scene of initial violation. I called the company and they said they can't give me a refund for overpaying because my car was moved, 20ft, therefore it was moved from the scene of initial violation. I stopped the driver before the car was moved and they used a loophole to charge me more money without informing me it would cost more if I let the driver move the car 20ft... This business should be ashamed of themselves!
