Their new resteraunt is awful. We waited for 45 min for a table. Finally asked why so long and the girl looked at me and said "We have already seated you" umm, No! We were still waiting. Got our table, and told the waitress I am vegetarian and only wanted a desert, she gave me the menu and never came back to take my order. I sat and watched the rest of my family eat.. I got nothing. Complained to management. they sent me a ticket for a free meal. So we tried again. This time I ordered the vegie fahita's without onions... and of course it came with onions and chicken. Complained to manager, it was taken back and recooked. Sorry I dont give 3 strikes... 2 was enough.
Free Salsa is very mild or you can request the Hot. Free caso (which tastes like cream of cheddar soup) meals average $11-$15 each (as of 28Oct2011) meal was pretty good. I'm vegetarian, so I ordered vegie-casadia ... wish they offered 1/2 orders for those of us that dont want to over stuff ourselves and can't eat that much. I had to bring 1/2 or mine home. Husband ordered tortilla soup with tacos. He enjoyed his and was satisfied with the size of his meal. Then we were offered free sopapias.
When to new south BA, hottest day of the year and the a/c not working. Food was delicious but the new building has zero atmosphere. I'm driving to sheridan!
One of my favorite authentic Mexican restaurants. The fajitas come out sizzling hot, and they have refried frijoles negros (black beans). The place is really like a hole in the wall across from Rhema, but the food is anything but plain. If you are feeling adventurous, try the cochinita pibil or molé which are both secret family recipes. If it's been a long day and you wanna loosen up with some friends, then grab a margarita pitcher. Gabby makes her own mix (no sweet and sour mix) and they are strong and delicious! No matter what the occasion, there's always something to celebrate at Aguila!
