On 02/08/16 I went to this CVS in Bristol, CT., on North Street to make a return. I generally do not shop at this CVS, but I was in Bristol to help my mother run errands and pick up groceries. I entered the store at approx. 7:30p.m. and went directly to the register with the items, I rang the bell on the counter for assistance. I explained, to the asst. mgr., then to the store mgr. that I wanted to return the items that I had for either an exchange or for store credit. The store Mgr. said she couldn't do the return because the value of the items I had (A) were too high (I had approx. $25 -$30 in items) (B) that I could have just walked into the store and placed the items in a bag and went to the counter ( accusing me of probably lying and theft) and (C) that "if" in fact I had purchased these items (Hair color & Antacid) they had to be returned to the particular CVS that the items had been originally purchased at so that the receipt could be looked up in that stores computer system and verified. I was very insulted and stated "You can look it up on the store surveillance video to see that I walked into the store with this bag and went straight to the cashier" and "CVS is corporate not franchised, so it doesn't matter which CVS I purchase at or decide to make a return to." If they treated me this way, I'm sure that this has happened to other customers. I did call corporate and made a complaint. The store Mgr. as well as the Asst. Mgr. should be reprimanded if not terminated for treating a customer(s) this way. I'm really, really, happy that this isn't the CVS that I regularly shop or pick up my prescriptions.
