Overall

I would like to share my negative experience with Wells Fargo.

My fiancé and I recently embarked on a very exciting and nerve-racking journey of purchasing our first home. We originally decided to use a local bank to finance a loan for our new home. However, we heard so many great things about Wells Fargo Banks and loans, that we decided to follow our old loan consultant as he transitioned to working for Wells Fargo. This is where our negative journey began.

We found the perfect home and began our journey as we made an offer, had our offer excepted, and have the home inspected. everything was set to go; Our offer was excepted our loan was approved and the whole was unoccupied. Everything was looking like we could move in within the next couple of weeks. In fact, our mortgage consultant had assured us that this would be a very easy transition with this home. However, he was incorrect. This gentleman completely dropped the ball on our loan! He made empty promises and continued to assure us that everything was going fine when, in fact, due to his incompetency, it was not. We ended up setting a total of three different closing dates with the seller of the home, their real estate agent, and our buying agent, all to have them canceled because of things on Wells Fargo's end of things. I eventually had to contact a manager at the bank in order to have this problem resolved. They finally removed our loan consultant from the case and was able to push us forward. The manager that I spoke with seemed very pleasant and assured us that this was not the typical workings of the bank. He even continued his apology with the promise of a "large gift card" to make up for the fact that their bank had made some crucial mistakes in our loan process. well, we were able to get our home finally and everything seem to be going smoothly. However, we have now waited over two months without seeing this "large gift card." I am very dissatisfied with the empty promises continually made through Wells Fargo and plan on refinancing my loan as soon as possible.

To any who are searching for a new home loan: beware Wells Fargo. I will continue to post and inform others of my experience with Wells Fargo so that no others have the experience that we have had.
