It was wonderful meeting you and your family. You have a great young man as a son I could tell and feel his sweet sweet spirit.

In order to fully get my point across, I need to start with a short summary of what I went through before going to The Cottage. Being just twenty years old and having a longer engagement than most, a lot of people and vendors refused to deal with me. I felt like I wasn’t being treated fairly as a customer and soon to be bride. This put a real damper on my wedding planning experience and when I found a nice vendor that would actually sit down with me and help me get what I wanted, I jumped at the experience. Unfortunately, my experience with them turned out to not be so great either. They tried to be sneaky and pull a few fast ones on us. I don’t work with people like that and it made me very sad to know that people were going to be unprofessional and impolite to my soon to be husband and myself.

After those experiences, I did sort of give up on wedding planners and vendors. My mother didn’t and that’s when we spoke to Kevin and his crew at the cottage. I was a little gun shy at first but he sat down with us many times and helped us plan out exactly what we wanted to the very small details. He gave us a very fair price and was hospitable in every way. I found Kevin to be delightful to work with and just sarcastic enough to make things interesting. I found myself teasing and joking with him and that put my mind at ease with the whole situation.

After we were given the contract and were well on our way to the actual wedding, I found myself going crazy like any bride does. I would remember little things all day and all night. Lucky for me, I could text Kevin at almost any time, respecting his sleep schedule of course, and he would get right back to me with an answer or a fix to any problem I was having. He was always so great to deal with my harassing him at all hours and making sure I always knew what was going on. I really appreciated that.

As wedding day came, Kevin was everywhere. Things were set up just how I wanted, and discounting a glitch or two, he was on the ball. He managed to wrangle all the guests and get the wedding party all situated and in place. He did everything I asked and everything looked great. I was more than happy to walk down the aisle at The Cottage knowing I had nothing to worry about. If I had to do it all over again, I would go to The Cottage first. They have my trust and I know that I wouldn’t have any problems. Great service, great food, great party.

The only suggestion I would give would be just to make sure Kevin is always writing things down. He has a tough job and a lot of details in his head all day every day. Things get mixed up and information gets forgotten or lost sometimes. It’s all much easier to keep track of when it’s on paper. Thank you for everything and being so great to us every step of the way. It truly made all the difference.

Just had a wonderful wedding luncheon at The Rose Cottage! The food was yummy, the dining room was lovely, and Julie and her staff were more than accommodating. I felt like I had an extra helpful group of people on my team who wanted to make sure all of our guests were happy and comfortable. Thank you to the Christensen's for adding a perfect luncheon experience to our perfect day!
