The first few years I rented through another agency name, who became All American Bess Real Estate and took over all the tenants. I had been there 8 years, took care of the house I rented as if it were my own. I put time and my own money into fixing up this older home. The downstairs had black mold in one of the rooms, took quite a bit of time before they decided take the wall out and replace it, however they did not inspect for mold elsewhere in the musty basement. Shortly after I moved in the house unbenounced to me had cockroaches, they came and they did do it yourself remedies...which did not work! Finally they agreed to get the house sprayed professionally. The walls were in need of a fresh coat of paint when I moved in, or at the very least the many nail holes should have been patched. The carpet was about 20 or more years old and in need of replacing, the heat was a boiler system and the heat often did not work and few in the area know who to repair such an antiquated system. My rent was increased without proper notice, and only after living there 8 years and they finally gave me new carpet upstairs only and finally painted the interior as was needed 7 years ago. When I called with plumbing issues I was told if there wasnt a real problem then I would be made to pay the fee of the plumber. There was a leak which caused water damage and the onset of mold! I was forced to resolve many of these issues at my own expense. It wasnt until the take over, when the company became All American Real Estate that these issues intensified. They did not return my deposit money in the end, after I spend approx. 3 days cleaning an already immaculately kept house. I paid my rent by or before the first of each month always, i was an excellent tenant so very displeased with such unprofessionalism from a rental agency. I would not in my good conscience recommend this agency to family nor friends or even those I dont know that do not deserve to be treated like this. This is not meant to be negative rather to let any future tenants beware and ask other long time renters as well. I lived in this house from 2008-2015, the last few years renting there with All American were the most frustrating as a tenant due to issues left on the back burner or left unresolved with constantly being put off.
