General Info

Ed's WOODSHED opened its doors in 1983, owned by Ed Walnoha Jr. He bought six Hearthstone woodstoves and sold them out of his father's garage. Since that time, many gas and wood fireplace products have been added along with sunrooms and solariums.Ed has since moved on but his younger brother Jim has continued on with the tradition of great products and service. Stop into one of our showrooms to see what Ed's WOODSHED is all about.

I made a special trip to this business to purchase gas logs only to find out there is no one there on Wednesday to answer any questions or sell a set of logs. I was told “well he works Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday and Saturday. “. What good does that do to customers on Wednesday ? I couldn’t even get info on products. What a waste of my time. Never would I go back , in fact went elsewhere and purchased logs and had great customer service

Very helpful

I'm re-building an old cast iron stove and went to Ed's for parts, Howard was very friendly and helpful and a wealth of information.

Great Experience

I had a great experience with Ed's Woodshed relative to phone conversations, face to face meetings and purchase completion. Howard and Jim were knowledgeable, honest and friendly. They found the hard to find item that I wanted and it was available that very week. I'd recommend the store to anyone in the market for a fireplace.

What ever happened to treating your customers with respect?

Visited this establishment to have a new gasket installed on the door of my wood stove. One week later my wife stopped in to see if it was ready. The owner began yelling at my wife, something about being impatient. He then returned from the back room with the stove door, handed it to my wife, and with his voice still elevated told her to get it fixed somewhere else. I suppose one week was not enough time to do fifteen minutes worth of work. Started using a business in Washington, PA called Daniels Run Energy. Great work ethic, knowledgeable, freindly, fair prices. If you want to deal with a great stove business, go to Daniels Run Energy. If you want rudeness, bad tempers, and poor service, Ed is your man.

I would highly reccomend this company if what your looking for is, rude behavior.
The owner of this company should considder closing his doors and never speak to another person for as long as he lives. I have never been so infuriated as I was after dealing with Ed's Woodshed. Buyer Beware.
