5 STRIKES AND YOU'RE MORE THAN OUT: 1. After you've nodded and laughed at my surface conversation, I discover you don't speak or understand ANY English when you similarly nod and laugh at the question I've asked you twice. 2. I'm in AMERICA, so WHY do I have to sit here and listen to all the nail techs talk in their native language to eachother and wonder what on earth they're talking about? My imagination is running wild when I should be mindless and relaxed. 3. Why do you answer my kind-mannered question regarding cleanliness of towles with a defensive and rude attitude? 4. When I chose the $35 pedicure with hot stone MASSAGE, I expected to get a stone "massage" and not a stone RUB. I could have unenthusiastically glided some microwaved rocks over my chin bones on my own at home! 5. If the hot stones are TOO HOT for you to hold in your hands, don't you think they're too hot for my freshly exfoliated legs and the delicate arches of my feet? Furthermore- your solution (to protect your hands from the heat) of holding the stones with your cheap, rough, and scratchy towles while rubbing my legs feels like you're taking a barbeque brush to my skin. To expand... I went to this salon one other time about 5 months ago and the stone massage was good, but I believe in CONSISTANCY- you shouldn't advertise a package with "stone massage" when some of the nail techs are going to merely slide the stones over your legs- I left feeling cheated. Also, my question about cleanliness was because when the tech unrolled the towel, there was green clay on the inside of the towel- I asked if they washed them after each use (because that shouldn't be on the inside of a clean, folded towel). I asked the question in a respectful way, so if you have nothing to hide then why did you answer in a rude and defensive way? To end on some positives- I will say that on a surface level, the salon looks cleaner than others I've been to; also no complaints on the paint job. On top of everything I experienced yesterday, I still left a $5 tip because I'm not a you know what.
2. Nails & You
Bad English... Bad service... cheap pedicure... I guess you get what you pay for. If you're looking for somewhere cheap to get a quick pedi, this is the place. If you want someone to actually listen to what you want, go somewhere else.
3. Y2k Nails
I went to get a pedicure done last year with my 3 month old baby. The lady lead me in the chair and told me to wait. I put on the messager and she told me to wait outside with my baby in the heat of Texas summer! Needless to say, I told her no and that I would not use her services. She did n…
8. T Nails
I can't even explain why I decided to stop here, probably out of convenience like always. I try not to judge business my their outward appearance because there's so many wonderful places in austin that looks historical but has been updated on the inside to be quite modern. I was so so wrong. …

I've been coming here for a couple of years, and they do a great job. My pedicures always look great, and generally last between 2-3 weeks without needing a touchup. The staff is friendly, and the place is very clean. I highly recommend it.

Okay so I have not had the best luck with hair salons in the past and neither has my mom. Because of this, we have resorted to using at home hair color for many years. However, we will occasionally give a hair salon one more try, even though it usually ends up being another dreadful experience. …

I'm European myself and there is no other Spa in Austin that could do facials as they are done at Halina's. They do it like in Europe! Prices are a bit high to my income, but I still go there that is how good their facials are. After one I feel a whole lot of a difference in my skin tone and col…

I always drove by this salon but never knew what kind of services were offered. It's nestled away by office buildings on Old Jollyville Road between 360/183/Mopac. I went for my first haircut with Jennifer this week and she was fabulous. The salon is small and intimate - she is the only stylist who works there right now. She told me that it was an old house that they transformed into a salon. There are two main hairdressing chair stations, a few hair dryer seats and sinks, two spa pedicure chairs and two nail stations. I was very impressed at Jennifer's professional and friendly attitude. She made me feel comfortable and made my hair look great - just what I wanted. I really like the small feel of the salon - sometimes the noise and distractions of huge salons with tons of workers can be a bit much for me. I loved the personalized attention here. Pricing is very reasonable - a woman's haircut was $30 for me - including a wash and dry. I believe Jennifer also does the nails herself - the pricing seemed a bit high for the mani/pedi's but the color and cut services all seemed very reasonable. She did a fantastic job and I will definitely go back! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great hairdresser. Thanks, A'Salon!!!
I just started working in the area and decided to stop by after work and see if I could get a fill for my solar nails. The nail tech, Lilly looked at my nails and recommended that I get a new full set since it had been about a year since I had a new set. She did not push me into it and went over the cost of a new set versus a fill plus the repair of 2 nails. I went with the full set. She did an excellent job of removing my old set. Once she was done you couldnt even tell I have had solar nails on for years. She then put on a new set and was very detailed and made sure that they were shaped perfectly. She did not rush or make me feel like she couldnt wait to get me out the door even though it was already past 7pm and their closing time. I have been to many nail salons and I have never been as happy with my nails as I was this time. I know Lilly is the only nail tech there which will make it difficult to just stop in whenever I want and get a fill, but I plan on making appointments in advance with her.
I visited VA Nails on 2 Feb 2016, at first glance it was a little scary, the familiar faces were no longer there. Change can sometimes be challenging , although I decided to give it a try. I noticed "New Polishes" "New Products" and a "New Attitude". My total experience was Wonderful and Renewing, just what I needed. I was overdue for a Mani and Pedi, I left there feeling Brand New. Give Chau a chance!!! The New Owners have years of experience and cater to their clients, along with the new line; they offer a refreshing drink, not what I was accustomed to. I had forgotten Pedicures were meant to be pampering. Leave your past experiences at the door, you to will be pleasantly Surprised. I will be returning, Chau is very thorough in his applications, a perfectionist !!! I have not had a pedicure this meticulous in years. He also has a firm grip and hands that evenly apply pressure while your service is received, rejuvenating to say the least. I loved this lovely couple.
I went to this nail salon based on reviews & some ones nails I saw who didn't know the nail techs name. I called & ask for that lady, I was told her name & to my own peril, allowed anna to talk me into allowing her to do my nails (she answered the phone). When she knew I wanted gel nails, she looked scared, & alot of dialog between the salon staff (non english) seemed intense. 3 hrs later & $100+ ( and for the 30 min pedi) I left, with grooves between the gel pink & white nails looked the worst I'e ever seen on 20+ yrs of having nails done! Lynn; however must be good, she had appointment after appointment come in, 3 appts done while I had my one service done. Staff was friendly too. My low star rating is for allowing nail techs who don 't know what they are doing, perform expensive services for which they do not have the training for. Very clean salon, used disposable liners for pedicure tubs, GO see Lynn if u can get in!!!!
I am usually not one to write reviews, but I guess that this salon is under new management so I wanted to make sure that the reviews were up to date. This is a great place to come and relax! They offer a lot of options for manicures and pedicures including gel, hot stone, paraffin wax treatments, and lots more! They really value their customers here which is a big difference from other salons I have been to. One night I was finishing up my manicure around 7pm (which is when they close) and the rest of the ladies had left. Two women walked in and asked for pedicures and the owner called the girls who had left so that the two women could have their pedicures. I just thought it was a great demonstration of their commitment to their customers. Drop in and I'm sure that any of the girls will take good care of you! If you like to schedule appointments, then I recommend Sandy. She's great : )
Today is September 3, 2015....Wine in hand...sitting in the best salon in town (A Carter T Lund Salon)...about to be pampered and hide the proof that I'm not 20 years old anymore! Carter is going to work his magic and all will be right with my world again. Seriously! This man knows his hair chemistry and color. My crazy finicky hair obeys when Carter is in charge. I trust and value his opinion and expertise to the point that I pretty much walk in, sit down and let him decide what's going to happen. And I have yet to be disappointed. His staff is always courteous and professional and still I feel like one of the family here. Do yourself a favor and come see him or his wife Charlie who is equally amazing in he own right or book an appointment with any of the other very talented stylists.
Absolutely love this place! I came here with my mom to get the massage at C & K Nails on a Saturday afternoon. As soon as we got there be on time by the way, we were seated and taken care of. The massage was perfect and it was exactly what I needed after such a stressful semester. My mom also enjoyed it very much. Next, we got a nice facial so my face felt very smooth and clean. Besides, we were given tea and biscuits while we finished our manicure and pedicure. Especially, their manicure, pedicure always come out beautiful and they really take their time. Paul and Sammie were very accommodating throughout and made our first-time spa experience a very pleasant one. Overall, I am very happy with this place.
I loved the lady. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and directed to my choices. This price list was right outside the door in convience and in the store. She turned on the tv for me and asked how my holiday was. Very friendly and referred to me as her friend. I love the technique and time she put into the nails and her choice of French tip for me. I also got a eyebrow wax which I absolutely love. For being in a small unsure area the work was great and friendly atmosphere put me at ease. I don't do my nails a lot and for stopping by to try a new salon I found a regular place to come to. The total was 32 and I gave her a $50. As you can see I was more then satisfied an will be a returning guest.
My daughter and I came for both mani and pedi. Overall, the nail tech did a great job on my dtrs nails. Mine, however, were ok. While fixing my cuticles on toe, she nicked it pretty badly. In fact, it still hurts and I had it done yesterday. Then, she scrubs off skin from my left heel. Let me tell you that this was very painful! Before this happened, I agreed to have a paraffin treatment to help with dryness....what a crock! My left foot still feels just as dry. Now, she did credit me for this treatment due to the 2 issues mentioned, but I will not be going back! For the same price and better service, I will just go down the street
