Started from a 24-seat restaurant in Washington in 1974, Azteca Mexican Restaurants now is a chain of more than 35 restaurants spread throughout the Pacific Northwest. The chain restaurant employs over 1,400 people and serves approximately 400,000 customers each month. Marketed as a family restaurant, it features a variety of Mexican salads, soups, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and a Little Amigo menu for children, all served in a Hacienda-style atmosphere. The restaurant chain serves a range of nonalcoholic beverages and entrees featuring broiled chicken breasts served with Rancho beans. Some of the locations also feature a Tortillieria machine, which prepares fresh tortillas for guests in the dining room and are available by the dozen for take-home.
Excellent Mexican cuisine with reasonable price. The restaurant has a sense of eclectic Mexico feel with periodic singing of birthday celebrations. Its vaulted ceiling makes the restaurant feel big and somewhat outdoors.
