My family and I are frequent visitors of Castle Rock Resort and Water Park In Branson since 2010. We just returned from a 3 night stay. The hotel staff were very attentive to our needs. They were prompt when we asked for extra towels and wash clothes. The staff at the front desk was very courteous and helpful. Our rooms were cleaned every day by the time we returned to our rooms. The rooms are so spacious and extremely clean! The beds are older, but they are comfortable. We stayed in the Tower rooms (double rooms with bunk beds). We had adjoining rooms (me and my kids, my mom and my sister). The waterpark is very well staffed with lifeguards walking around at all times. While we were there, a few of the life guards were practicing life saving techniques in the pool. All life guards were very nice and attentive to my kids. One day when the water slide was roped off, one life guard came and opened it up for me and my kids. The water was perfect temperature and all the pools were so nice and clean. Yes, you smell the chlorine, as many people mention in their reviews, but it wasn't as overpowering during our visit. My children are ages 5 and 8. They felt completely safe and secure using all parts of the water park. As a parent, I felt so relaxed knowing there were plenty of lifeguards around.
It was really fun. I loved the water park! The rooms were nice too. The beds were comfortable. The water park was fun. The water was a good temperature. My fave slide was the big swirly one. I fell of my tube! You should go!
We stopped over here one night over spring break. Kids have had so much fun at GWLs so we thought we'd try this. It's about 1/3 size of GWL and seemed more oriented to younger kids, so the water park actually was fine for us. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our kids (oldest is 9) had a great time.
Room clean, front desk staff extremely nice and helpful (especially when having a 2 year old running around picking up things).Water Park has enough water and things to keep kids intertained, my kids really loved the water slides.Lazy river was warmer compared to other parts of the park.Ability to check out of room and still swim in the water park till closes.
The best feature about this place is the waterpark. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying in the tower as opposed to the atrium on the cooler months. My kids loved the water and they stayed until shutdown everynight.
Made a reservation a week before staying. Plans changed so needed to cancel couple of days later. Charged for one night, but was not told that on making the reservation. They said I should have known their policy. Cancel policy was three weeks eventhough I had made the reservation withing a week of the stay. Then said my reservation had kept them from renting to someone else. I reminded her that I had only had the reservation for a couple of days. Didn't matter, that was their policy. Asked to apply to a future stay, but that was not their policy. Had stayed a couple of times before, but they were certainly not interested in trying to keep me as a customer. Won't be staying here again.
PLEASE don't take anyone to the Chateau as a celebration - it ruined our Christmas Eve. We had reservations - arrived in plenty of time to a very empty dining room. We had a drink before dinner, placed our order - the restaurant filled - people came and went - and we walked out after 2.5 hours waiting for our dinner. Nothing complicated, mind you - steaks and sides - and - we're frequent guests. This time - no meal - and very little in the way of apologies. OUR ORDERS WERE NEVER TURNED IN - and when we left there were no other restaurants open. This will be the last of our visits -Great View - TERRIBLE SERVICE!
If you attend a sales presentation for Spinnaker Resorts, beware! Their presentation is filled with lies and you will buy something you will regret. The company is in bankruptcy protection right now. Buying into their timeshare will only cost you money and you will not get the value you are expecting. And they make it nearly impossible to cancel your contract within the legal time limit.
The condo was beautiful, comfortable & emaculate. Very clean and comfortable, with all you would need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful views and very friendly staff. The only negative was that we came for Valentine's Day to hang out on the lake & when we checked in, they told us that we could fish off the dock. We then went & bought fishing poles & gear and then found out the docks were locked off & closed off until March 7. :-( Everything else was perfect, quiet and a great vacation.
