I would NOT recommend going to The Eye Depot. We scheduled a simple eye exam in which Eye Depot confirmed they accepted our vision insurance and that is what we were going to use.Once the exams were completed they informed us its now a medical because something they found and it had to go to two insurances in which they are asking for additional $106 and additional $85 in place of the $10 copay. This should have been explained to us and I would have gone somewhere else.I would be cautious and ask questions or go somewhere else so this does not happen to you.I have not had this problem at other eye exams or any of my fellow workers that I asked. They have lost me as a customer and I have two more daughters that need exams and will be going else.Eric Sundal

I came in on Friday, 12/30 at 4:42. As I entered I realized it was almost closing time. I declared as much as I began speaking with one of the 2 women there. This woman looked to be either someone in a management or owner position, as opposed to an hourly eyeglass technician. She concurred that it was closing time and asked what I wanted. When I told her I needed a new pair of glasses but I realized there wasn't much time, she offered that they were open the next day. I said I wasn't able to make the next day and that I work all the way down in Sarasota, she mentioned that they have a store down there. I said that at least I'd like to take a look a their frames to maybe get an idea of what I may want and she said sure. I started wandering around and realized that I was on the completely wrong side of the store, looking in the men's section. This woman actually allowed me to be in the wrong section without even directing me to where I'd find frames for me. She was CLEARLY annoyed that I walked in at that time and had absolutely NO interest in helping me. She obviously just wanted to get rid of me & go home.I worked in the retail eye industry for many years and there were several options this woman could have and should have taken. I stayed after closing time scores of times when I worked in the industry. Instead I got a cold attitude and felt completely unwelcome.I drove down the road to Lenscrafters and bought glasses for a great price. The service was excellent, glasses were ready quickly. Although the store was incredibly busy, they were attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and their prices were terrific! So I guess I owe Pearle Vision Creekwood Crossing a big THANK YOU for helping me find LENSCRAFTERS! I'll be using them for all of my future needs (my family wears contacts AND glasses) here I am on social media speaking of my awful experience in your store. In this day and age, we really need to think twice before mistreating a potential customer.Dena Sturm
These are the rudest people - No customer service skills - Bate and Switch pricing - Was told it was $40 for the month and then they changed it to $40 a week when I got there because I "misunderstood" - their weekly rental is only 6 days and their attitude is rent it or don't rent it they just don't care - do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
I have been going to Bayshore Eye Care for almost twenty years. I am sorry to read these reviews, because I can tell you that it is repeatedly the BEST eye care I have ever had! The service is decent, the staff is knowledgeable, and Dr K Lawson consistently gives me the MOST ACCURATE prescription I've ever had. Even when I've lived 3-4 hours away, this is where I get my eyes checked. Recently, I went to another reputable store and had a good experience, but my glasses just didn't come out right. BEST optical in Florida.
Note sure how the other rater got treated , but people hear are just plain mean and nasty. Can't believe it in a health care business. Strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere unless you want mistreatment
I'm going to sound like I work there but they are probably the cheapest quality vision center around and Dennis (the owner?) is very congenial. I give them 4 stars because the lab that ground the lenses screwed up and they had to be redone. Still, there was no hassle and little wait. Glasses are done in 3 days. Unbelievable.
We received a coupon in the mail, so decided to give tem a try. Large selection of frames and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Picked out frame, upgraded, polycarbonate, lightweight, scratch resistant, anti glare, no-line bifocals with Transitions Signature lenses and the total was under $200. Had a very thorough eye exam for $79. The glasses were ready in three days and with a little adjustment work great. I cannot believe I received such great service and value for money.
I walked in to and immediately felt a awkwardness. They front desk person was already on the phone so I was going to wait til she got off to speak to her about my insurance and she said " can I help you?" I said " Can you speak I see your on the phone." She replied with " for a second" FIRST OFF who said that I needed QUICK service... I had insurance questions.. so I proceeded to ask if they accepted it and she didnt even try to check or call she jus quickly said " we usually dont take united health care." I asked if she knew who did and again another dead in and she said she couldn't help me.. I walked out and called my insurance immediately to see where I could find a provider and it only took me 30seconds to speak with a representative, and she couldn't even give the time to check and see if I wasn't or was covered she just said " usually"...there were NO SMILES , NO KINDNESS NO NOTHING!.. I Went to vision works an hour later and receieved outstanding customer service! I spent $$$ in there too.. too bad bayshore eye care wouldn't even give me the time of day. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO THERE! .. not to mention I hadnt even told this story to a soul and one of my friends asked me where I got my glasses and she went on to say " I hope u didnt go to the bayshore eye care bc they are mean!" I was like OMG I had the same experience... she went on to tell me her horrible experience there. Anywhere but here folks! Thats all I can say!
Dr was very rude..we were in there for the first and last time..
