On behalf of my brother Carl Treaster a Vietnam Vet as my Guardian and myself a Vietnam Vet as the Honor Flight Patient from Hospice office in Bowling Green, Mo. I would like to give out a hearty thanks from the bottom of my heart for your sponsoring us to the 3 day 2 nights stay for the hospice honor flight to Washington, D.C May 10-12, 2013. I have traveled around the world to 20 some diff countries and visited diff museums and memorials including the Pearl Harbor Memorial. I finally got to see things in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia that had only seen previous pictures of. Not in my wildest or fondest dreams did I every expect to have a chance to see them all in person. You have made my life complete even with my terminal illness at the present as a patient of your Bowling Green Hospice Office. I feel like a completely different person now that I have returned from this trip and able to speak of things more openly all of a sudden now for some reason that never wanted mentioned before. don't know what brought this over me all of a sudden. seems like the almighty about was watching over me and had ensured this trip for me to be taken as a last resort. Thanking you and all your associates and staff out of your office for a job well done and can't thank you enough for all your assistance and then my daughter managing to arrange a surprise welcome home party for Carl and myself with American Legion Riders Motorcycle Brigade for mettin us in Bowling Green, Mo and escorting us home to the American Legion Post 55 (of which we are both members) where had a surprise welcome home party awaiting us there with the secrecy of my daughter Nicole Treaster Donovan setting up and being assisted by friends and family. Don't know how they managed to keep it a secret from me for month or so as nosy as I was on facebook...lol..They had to resort to private texting and msging to keep me from seeing plans and arrangements. Guess they didn't trust me...lol...a a very emotional and touching experience from start to finish and hardly a day without a dry eyes sometime during the day. Seemed to have been congratulated and met everyone in the country in three states and then some over the week. I have never in my life received such preferred and priority first class treatment all the way in everything we did and everywhere we went. Was even allowed to move right thru security with mininum delays at airports on both end coming and going to assist and allowed to board first and also depart plane first before any other passengers did so. then they saluted us played the national anthem for us and then shook our hand and cheered as we disembarked plane. I don't think kings and queens have ever received such real life preferred treatment. my real heroes were left behind and some still not accounted for and then the rest gave up the supreme sacrifice for their country in their lives and came home in a pine box escorted and draped with the American Flag. GOD BLESS THEM AND MAY THE FOREVE R.I.P. AND THE POW'S AND MIA'S ALL BE FOUND AND FAMILIES FINALLY GIVEN CLOSURES OF THEIR LOVED ONES ONCE AND FOR ALL. WE WENT OVERSEAS AS STRANGERS AND RETURNED AS BROTHER. GOD BLESS AMERICA THE GOOD OLD U.S.A. "NO, FREEDOM IS NOT FREE"! ALWAYS REMBER, NEVER FORGET!. SIGNED CHARLES R.
