Lemon sellers BEWARE. Bought a car from this dealership that gave me problems from day one. They kept fixing each week till it finally gave up. Lost money trying to save money: DONT BUY FROM THEM

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! These guys are mediocre mechanics and con men. I bought a small sedan from these people and it was nothing but a lemon. The owner is a real clever guy. He sells you a piece of crap at a seemingly reasonable price, then makes a fortune off you when you keep returning to have it 'fixed'. You might get lucky and get a decent car but I sure wouldn't risk it.

June 2014: Liberty Auto has served me well several different times over the last two years! I bought a low priced Mazda from Dave, the owner, for under $4000. It has worked well for my daughter two years with no problems at all. Of course it's not new but I'm totally happy with that Mazda.

Dave saved me several hundred dollars on an A/C repair in June of 2014 for my 1999 Suburban that another shop in Clearfield tried to sucker me in to replacing components that ended up being completely fine. To clarify, Dave gave me options of what to do depending on what I wanted and what I could afford. Heck, the stupid Suburban was only worth $3000. But Dave took the time to research more affordable options for this older A/C. He told me that I could block off the rear A/C and avoid replacing the expensive metal lines and evaporator etc. with a $75 dollar component. Then he fixed just the front A/C by replacing only what was needed plus the coolant for the A/C. The Clearfield job would have cost me $1600 and Dave's option for me was $275. What a HUGE savings!

And last week I dropped off my son's cheapo high school commuter Toyota Corolla that isn't worth $1500 dollars to have it's A/C and fan repaired for the hot summer. I asked that only what needed to be done get fixed. Liberty Auto fixed the A/C leak, refilled the lines with coolant and replaced and installed the fan resistor for a total of $248 including tax. I also asked Dave to look this older car over for anything that MUST be repaired to be safe but Dave didn't try to ream me for anything extra.

If you are looking for a decent, reliable, affordable, and most importantly HONEST Dealer or Repair Shop then Liberty Auto is worth considering.

Last week my car started overheating and leaking coolant. I am not a car guy but I knew that I had to get my car in quickly to avoid serious damage. A friend of mine Brock Norton had recently been to Liberty Auto to have some work done and he recommended them to me. I called them 8/20/13 and the owner Dave told me to bring it right in and they would have it fixed by the next morning. Sure enough the next morning I was good to go. I thought I had a bad radiator but it ended up being a radiator cooling fan and a leaky coolant hose. Dave called me before they proceeded with any repairs and gave me an estimate of $150 for parts and labor! That is several hundred dollars less than a deal that I called that same day. The total was $142 and I am very satisfied with the work that was done. If you are looking for an honest company that will do great work and not take advantage of you I highly recommend Liberty Auto.
