Conscious Clearing

I was led to believe that fire wood would be delivered by this mans company when I called 10 days ago.
Burke knew that I had a dying cat, and needed the wood for heat, yet he led me on and then failed to keep his word.
What kind of a cretin would do that knowing of a terminally ill cat?
