The Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research provides research foundation for understanding the complex systems that support planets. It, as known as NOAA Research, offers better forecasts and earlier warnings for natural disasters. The office, in cooperation with its research partners, explores and investigates ocean habitats and resources. The Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research focuses on enhancing the understanding of environmental phenomena, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and climate variability and changes in ozone layer. The office develops and deploys observing technologies to provide data to support predictive models and document natural variability. It is a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
