Since 1955, McGuckin Hardware has been located in the heart of Boulder, Colorado. Employing four people in four departments, his success was based on his belief in personalized service, selection and first-hand experience. In 1960, Dave Hight became a partner in McGuckin Hardware with his father-in-law, Bill. Together they sought to create a quality hardware store with a reputation for excellent service and selection. Working from this solid base, Dave has carried on McGuckin Hardwares dedication to service since Bills death in 1966. Staying within a block of its original location in Boulder, McGuckin Hardware has continued to grow. We currently employ around an average of 250 people in 18 different departments ranging from Garden to Housewares to Automotive just to name a few. The store is 60,000+ square feet of sales floor selling over 200,00 items. With all of the growth, McGuckin Hardware continues to strive to meet Bills goals of providing personalized service, selection, and first-hand experience.
