Great location, yummy eats for a chain resto

I really enjoy/much prefer this Cheesecake Factory location as opposed to the one at the Cambridgeside Galleria. Since this one is locations right inside the Prudential (take the green line to the Pru and you'll see it as soon as you walk in through the doors from up the escalator), you have the option of walking through the shopping area and browsing the shops before/after, or if it's a nice day out you can walk around outside the Pru by the water fountain (my favorite place to sit in the summer).

But enough about location, this is a restaurant review so let's talk food! Since this is a more popular and slightly fancier area, I like coming to this Cheesecake Factory more for dinner as opposed to lunch (but either is fine). My top dinner choices would be almost any of the pastas. Seriously, let me name just a few of my favorites - the Pasta Da Vinci (which is described on their Website as ""Saut?ed Chicken, Mushrooms and Onions in a Delicious Madeira Wine Sauce Tossed with Penne Pasta and Parmesan"" yum!); the Farfalle with Chicken and Roasted Garlic (""Bow-Tie Pasta, Chicken, Mushrooms, Tomato, Pancetta, Peas and Caramelized Onions in a Roasted Garlic-Parmesan Cream Sauce""); or Evelyn's Favorite Pasta (""Penne Tossed with Broccoli, Oven-Dried Tomato, Roasted Eggplant, Peppers, Artichoke, Kalamata Olives, Garlic, Pine Nuts and Parmesan""). These pastas really do get filling though (even my bf has trouble finishing his plate sometimes), but not to worry because served as leftovers is still nearly as good.

But don't forget to save room for dessert! This is the Cheesecake Factory after all. My favorite cheesecake options are hands-down the Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake (""Banana Cream Cheesecake Topped with Bavarian Cream and Fresh Sliced Bananas"") and the Tiramisu Cheesecake. Also just so you know I am not at all a fan of cheesecake, but somehow this restaurant makes their cakes so fluffy and light (not heavy like most) that I can't resist :d

Great for birthday celebrations!

While the Cheesecake Factory isn't exactly a great date spot, it's a cool place to kick back on the weekend and grab a meal with your friends - it's especially fun on occasions like birthdays! Not a big cheesecake fan, but I still enjoy their non-cheesey desserts (mmm, chocolate cake!). Expect to drop at least $20 on dinner. Waitstaff were ok, not overly attentive (the location in Natick has VERY good waitstaff).

New Years Resolution: Stay Away from Cheesecake Factory

I get made fun of for this all the time but I don't care, I love the Cheesecake Factory. I have friends that wouldn't be caught dead there, meanwhile I'm forcing myself to stay away. The reasons are these: the menu is gigantic and filled with actually delicious food. Nowhere in the South End will you find such ridiculous portions. I have never had such good food at a chain restaurant, nor seen such a big menu produce so many homeruns. Sure, I have had some bad meals here. But I am a firm believer in sticking with what you know. Learn the menu, pick a few favorites and do not stray! Like, the time I thought it would be fun to order the Chinese Chicken Salad because I had never tried it. Bad idea. Stick with the Luau which I have had approx. 25 times. The bottom line is, Cheesecake is affordable, delicious, and a fun place to eat with big parties. Underrated!

all good but soiled menus

yes it's a chain, and yes their menus are usually soiled or stained (and yes it's gross), but it's a nice place to go esp when there's nothing better around.

and yes they're famous for HUGE portions, even the half-size salads are like a tiny mountain! food-wise, many are good (from the molasses bread, avocado rolls, calamari, thai lettuce wrap, ahi carpaccio, wings, to steak diane, chicken piccata, and pasta da vinci), but i wouldn't go for the ""grilled"" sandwiches again unless they can skip the butter. the WHOLE sandwich is so greased up (i would say it's soaked in butter) my hands got all oily just holding it.

in general, good food and drinks at fairly consistent levels. hence, they usually have a long wait, so better go early or simply avoid peak hours.

p.s. many times we tried, many times we couldn't even stand the look of the dessert menu after the main course.

like the mall location

I like the galleria mall location, though the parking is bad. It can get a little crowded, but the service is great and I like the atmosphere in Boston for the cheesecake factory.

Very POOR service...Very rude

Hi, my name is Robert. I Visited the Cheesecake Factory in Boston about a month ago with my family and that was the first and last time we are ever gonna dine there. The meal was wonderfull. Though, we had some dissapointment with the service. Our server was a tall, Irish man, whose name was John. He was very rude and direct to the point, we were dining with our niece and I guess he was not very happy to have a kid at his table. Very unattentive and not polite. Overall, the food was extremely delicious. I just hope that if in the future we can go back there, he's not gonna be my waiter again. He should be retrained by their managers. That's why we love the one by the Cambrigde Mall.

Best variety for a reasonable price.

This is one restaurant that is always a suggestion when going out for a casual meal. It suits everyones taste wether it be a pasta dish, hamburger, to seafood. Affordable and a great atmosphere. Also located right in the Prudential Center!

oh wow am i sick of this place

I work in the building connected to Cheesecake, so late Sunday evenings it's one of the few options left since the foodcourt is closed.

I've only eaten inside once, so I don't know much about the ambience except that this place is ALWAYS packed whenever I go to pickup my order.

I also don't eat dessert, so I'm not helpful there.

But if you're looking to get some reasonably healthy food, look elsewhere. I try to go for a salad + light pasta, and the salads are usually good (if not enormous) but the light pasta option is just impossible to find. Little there is particularly healthy and I'm not sure I even find it particularly good. All in, given the rather hefty prices, I'd avoid it and hang out with friends somewhere a little nicer + trendier + less crowded (though I've heard their cheesecake is actually good).

this is not a family friendly restaurant

this restaurant is great ,one of my favorites, but it is not family friendly. Being a mother of 3 children(9,5,& 3) when i think of family friendly I think they will have everything that a family would need and want. They do not have a children's menu. They do not have kid favorites on their menu. Also the aisles are very cramped and it is very busy so having a high chair is not very convenient either. Having said all that I still would recommend it but only if you have a babysitter for the night!!

Very Reliable Choice!!!

This place is great to go if you want consistently great food for a great price. The atmosphere is also great. There is always a bit of wait but it is well worth it!!!
