Founded in 1984, St. Francis House is one of the largest nonprofit, nonsectarian day shelter organizations located in Boston. It provides a wide range of basic services, including food, clothing, daytime shelter, medical care, mental health care, and substance abuse counseling and rehabilitative services. The organization also offers job skills training and transitional housing services. Its facility includes a counseling department that provides several multilingual and multicultural counselors. The department offers women s counseling, individual counseling, legal aid, immigration services, substance abuse counseling and detoxification referrals. In addition, St. Francis House offers a merchandise store that provides a collection of calendars, note cards, paintings and other artwork and pieces.

jackets, ties, belts, and shoes, to
