I highly recommend Rita Q. as a color expert and hair stylist. I have been going to her for years. For a while I was unable to get into Boston and went to a few local places and, ""what a disaster"". Finally got back to Rita for a quick fix in color and will continue to go to Rita for service. A little pricey but I guess I have to pay the price to look good.

I have very difficult hair(curly) & I would always keep it in a bun since it was a bother ..really! I had a Ouidad cut before I moved to Boston and i got to say it changed my hair & my attitude towards it. I just found Michael Roffi @ Roffi Salon & Day Spa and he has completely made me love my hair. Who would have thunk? After all of my life not knowing how to wear or style my hair, Michael has such a great touch and such talent and has made my hair look & feel awesome. I am so happy to have found a curly hair expert in Boston....his name is Michael.

Michael Roffi has been cutting my hair since I could walk -- he's that good. But imagine my surprise at my last appointment when he busted out a straight razor! The funny thing: I was not skeptical in the least. You have to trust the master.
I now have the best hair cut I have had in my life. Saying it looks amazing is the understatement of the century. I get more compliments and I am constantly being asked who does my hair. I am sending everyone to Roffi Salon!
About the same time I got the Haircut That Changed My Life, I inquired about color...I was feeling a little feisty with my new 'do. Michael set me up with J Despres who gave me the most stunning hair color ever. My hair color is rich and warm and J is the biggest sweetheart you have ever met. I am sending everyone I know to her for color.
The staff is fantastic and everyone is great to work with. The salon feels fancy without being stuffy, something so many other salons on Newbury Street fail to achieve. I love this place!

I highly recommend Roffi Salon. I have been a regular client of Stephane Pierce and Katie Pape for over two years. They introduced me to keratin and my hair has never looked as good as it does now. Additionally, Katie Pape went way out of her way to help me with my wedding preparations and wedding day. After she did my hair, I felt like a movie star. She made my wedding day so very special and I can not thank her enough.
Thank you Roffi Salon and a VERY SPECIAL THANKS to KATIE PAPE!

I am a mother/professional women who has been an client of Roffi Salon since it has opened~I love this place.
The services are exceptional and everytime I get my hair blown out/cut/highlighted I am stopped in the street and asked where do I go?
Best Blow-out in the city is Kate Pape. I never believed in Blowouts until I recieved one from her! She also is a Pro with my blonde tresses!
Roffi Salon does not break the bank either the services are the most reasonable on Newbury Street compared to all of the salons.
The proof lies in the very fact that every referral I send to Roffi become clients~ they are that pleased!!
No Diva atitude either, totally down to earth and everyone is made to feel like a guest! I have never had that feeling at a salon ever!
Give Salon Roffi a try and you will be grateful to City Search for sending you there!

I have been a client of Katie Pape's for about 10 years now, during which she has been with a few different salons in the Boston Metro area (including the salon at Saks when it still existed). I have to say that Roffi Salon is by far the BEST salon experience I have had. Other places in Boston are good, but this salon is consistently an 11 on a scale from 1 to 10! The staff are all so courteous and friendly; the receptionists are very knowledgeable with the services, prices, etc that the salon offers, and I don't think they have ever failed to confirm an appointment. Everyone in the salon does amazing work - Eljanor works wonders with waxing, and Amy squeezed me in for an emergency zit zapping while my foils were setting a few weeks ago. This salon has a great vibe with a wide range of clients from early 20's up to the more mature ages. Being able to cater to such a diverse client base definitely makes Roffi stand out in my opinion. The owner Michael is always there (hello Tabitha's Salon Takeover - even SHE would be impressed) and you can tell right away that he is proud of his business and his staff. I would recommend this place to anyone - men/women, young/older - you get the picture. Roffi is buzzing with talent from every aspect, and this is coming from someone who drives from NYC to Boston every 6-8 weeks just for my appointments!! Thanks Roffi!!

I have been getting my hair cut at Roffi Salon since they opened on Newbury Street. It's a great place for men to get their haircuts. The people there are great - friendly, attentive. The salon itself has a great atmosphere --full of art all the time. Plus, they have gone ""green"": everything is recycled, no plastic or paper cups for coffee, hand dryers instead of paper towels, etc. Most importantly, their stylists are truly talented, and committed to making you look and feel good. Try it and you will be convinced!

I saw Michael Roffi on Chronicle and it caught my attention... who knew that salons
were into recycling??? I visited the website and was impresed by what I saw. So I made appointments
for me and my wife ....SHE LOVED GETTING PAMPERED and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the great
service. We felt welcomed from the start and usually salons on Newbury st are intimidating but Roffi
is classy and comfortable. We have found our new favorite place on Newbury and maybe I'll get my back waxed next time.

I've been going to Rita for haircuts and foils at Roffi's Salon for at least five years now. I completely trust her and feel beautiful every time I leave. She does an amazing job and even though she's really booked up, she and the salon staff always try to accomodate my schedule. For the past two years I've been getting facials and photorejuvenation sessions with the aesthetician, Silvia Quintella. My skin and hair have never looked so good. People always ask me where I get my hair done and what I'm doing to take care of my skin. Silvia and Rita have recommended great products to use at home that have been excellent. I always look forward to my appointments, to their awesome espressos and cappuccinos, and am happy with the amount of money I've invested in my hair and skin. The prices are comparable to any other prices on Newbury street, but it's completely worth it! You wear your skin and hair every day!

I could not disagree with the former poster more. I think this is an excellent Newbury St salon, and is well worth it. Katie cuts my hair and does amazing foils and blow-outs, I recommend her to anyone who wants highlights or just wants their hair styled. I leave feeling like a model! (and I am far from one) I love the tea/coffee selection, and the water with cucumbers in it.

I tried this salon and couldnt have been more dissapointed. This salon has no reason being on newbury street. I went to have my hair cut and colored by Michael, the owner so i figured I was in good hands. I didnt get what I wanted at all, and Michael insisted it was exactly the way I wanted. I actually had to go to another salon about a week after to have it fixed. Thanks Michael
