I live two blocks from the restaurant, and really wanted to like it. Been there a few times now. The food tries to be fancy and different, and is actually fine. The atmosphere is chic and modern, tries very hard to be cool. Service is very slow, but tolerable... to a point.



However, I never realized how important service is to your experience. I was there for a birthday party, and there was a disagreement between the waiter and a diner over a food allergy issue. In the blink of an eye, it escalated into a screaming match that silenced the entire restaurant! We were stunned!



The "manager" came over, and instead of defusing the situation, she actually escalated it (the screaming waiter was actually an assistant manager!). It was like a train wreck, getting worse and worse by the minute. In the end, we ended up paying the full bill and leaving without eating. We are a very quiet and reserved group of people, but were made to feel like we were crazy psychopaths.



The worst dining experience I have ever had in my LIFE. Just incredible.



Beware.



(After reading some more reviews, it is obvious that the staff is the weak point here. You just can't have waiters, chefs, or managers yelling at the customers! Never seen anything like it.)
