Appointments easy to make, short waiting time once at office. Cannot comment on Invisalign procedure and outcome other than it is ridiculously overpriced but rather general dentistry and implants.
experience1: flawless work on implant, crowns and root canals but very expensive
experience2: shoddy work on 2 fillings. One fell out the other touched nerve and required root canal, Both fixed by different dentist. Will not go there again
experience 3: implant and bone graft ok but provisional crown poorly fitted causing much pain and was removed. Will see what future holds. Worst of all: NO EXPLANATIONS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON DESPITE REPEATED QUESTIONING. Cannot recommend this dentist and still sleep well

Dr. Hart is expensive but I think his work is worth every penny. I had finally saved up enough money to fix my teeth and wanted to replace my dentures with implants. I wanted to get rid of the sunken in look my face had gotten from wearing dentures for so long. Dr. Hart placed several implants in my upper jaw and several implants in my lower jaw and gave me a brand new set of teeth. I look and feel a lot younger now. I can eat whatever foods I want and chew whatever I want with my implants, just like I used to do with my own teeth so many years ago. I feel like my life has drastically changed for the better and I am so glad I finally got my teeth fixed! I have not had any problems with my implants since they were placed two years ago. I just go back to see Dr. Hart 2-3 times a year for routine cleanings and check-ups. It was money well spent. I encourage others with dentures to do the same, if possible.
I agree with the other negative reviews: all they care about is getting their money! If you check their website, you'll see that the practice is run by a former investment banker. I had invisalign done here with poor results. My current dentist says my case was too complex for Invisalign and that he should never have taken me as a patient in the first place. I'm going back some time next month. If he doesn't fix things for free, i will have my parents take legal action.
I have been a patient of Dr. Hart's for the past four years, so I think I have a decent enough amount of experience now to write a review, albeit I have had work done just to improve the way my teeth look. I started with Invisalign and wore the invisable braces for about a year and a half to correct my slight overbite and then I had six veneers placed on my upper front set of teeth to have a much better looking and whiter smile. I had tried bleaching my teeth in the past and my teeth would eventually get stained again because of all the coffee I drink and I would have to get them bleached again, so veneers seemed like the only long term option. I am very happy with my smile now and I can honestly say that it was worth the wait. I went to the right place.
My experience was very good. Dr. Hart treated me and my son and we are absolutely happy with the results. My son's teeth are perfectly straight. My own smile is very beautiful and I love the color of my new teeth. Everybody talks here about the price. I actually used to go to the dentist that would charge quite more than Dr. Hart. So, in Dr. Hart's office I felt like I was getting a bargain. Anyway, the most important thing is that we have healthy beautiful smiles and feel good about ourselves. Thank you.

I hardly ever post to a site like this. I read the negative reviews for New England Dental Center and was moved to add my experience to this site. I have been a patient of Dr. Hart's for 10 years. Due to some bad genetics (both parents had full dentures before they turned 40), I have to see Dr. Hart on a regular basis. I have a medical background, and have been impressed since the first day I stepped into his office. He is kind, gentle, and extremely skilled at what he does. His technical skills are far beyond those of his peers. I find him to have a great bedside manner, and wonderful at explaining my various options. He also is rabid about keeping up with all the latest techniques and equipment....he put in digital xray before most area hospitals even thought about it. I have sent friends to Dr. Hart, and all come back with rave reviews. I can't say enough about him or his staff. They are all equally as kind as him. Anna is a particular favorite of mine. It is obvious that she deeply cares about each of her patients. Their appointment availability is excellent. After a friday lunch, I was flossing my teeth, and lost a filling. The tooth didn't hurt, and I figured it could wait till monday. I phoned Dr. Harts' office at 1pm, was given an appointment for 3pm! (this being a friday with a packed schedule) Initial xrays showed that the tooth had cracked, causing the filling to dislodge. I needed a root canal. Instead of rescheduling me for the following week, Dr. Hart fixed my tooth immediately. By 7pm, I was driving back home. The final comment that I need to make is about pain. I may be the exception to the rule, but after multiple root canals, the ones Dr. Hart has performed have caused minimal discomfort. Not only is his work asthetically amazing, he completes the procedures in minimal time. The prices here are high, but well worth every penny you'll spend.

I had one front tooth done in Florida and one next to it in Germany. My smile looked like I had a rainbow in my mouth because of unmatching colors of those teeth. It was very ugly. I finally decided to find a dentist to fix the problem. I ""kissed 2 frogs"" before I found Dr. Hart. One dentist in Cambridge replaced these 2 front caps and made it worse. He made them look to big. The other guy from Newbury street tried to shave them down. He did so to the point that I could feel and see the underlying metal in those caps. I was desparate. To my luck I decided to go to New England Dental Center to see famous Dr. Hart. I was totally impressed with his work. My front teeth never looked more beautiful and natural. Everybody thinks these are my own teeth. Moreover, there is no metal in these caps at all. I would also give Dr. Hart a credit for his speed. He is very quick and does not repeat procedures twice. Everything comes out perfect the first time he does it. ( The guy from Cambridge was taking impression of my teeth 3 times and blamed everything on defective material) . To this day I can not belive how those other dentists could mess things up so bad. Dr. Hart is not cheap dentist, but I think for his such a high quality service he should not ask less. You get what you pay for.
Dr. Hart is very precise, professional, and thorough. He clearly cares very much about his practice and patients. I sometimes am afraid of dentists not because of the pain, but because they often try to upsell you to things like whitening. Dr. Hart is extremely honest, and did not suggest anything beyond what was best for my teeth, which turned out to be a very minor but necessary procedure-- I expected much worse, having not been to a dentist in two years. Would recommend .
I had Invisalign treatment with Dr. Hart and I am very happy with the results. I have always recieved compliments on my smile because my teeth are white and straight and my bite is good, but I wanted to close the gaps between my upper front teeth. I viewed a simulation of the Invisalign before and after results, so I had some idea what to expect. A year or so later, my gaps are closed. I wear retainers at night to maintain the results, but I got what I paid for and I have no complaints. My teeth became a bit discolored wearing the trays for so long, so I had them whitened when I was done with my treatment.

I agree wholeheartedly with AJE below. I had almost the EXACT same treatment. I did not get the results I wanted, and I felt like I was just rushed in and out all the time. No one really seemed to care if I was happy or not. On top of that, this place has SUCH a creepy vibe... I can't really explain it. I wouldn't recommend it though. And PS-- take a look at the reviews written here and notice the similarities in usernames, poor grammar, regularity of dates posted, etc. Lets just say that the majority of people that work at Dr. Hart's ofice do not speak english as a first language, and I just would not be surprised if many of these reviews were written by them. Be careful.

My dental experience was awesome. I had 6 implants placed in my mouth. Dr. Hart was very understanding and professional. I did not feel any pain. He works fast and confident. Very recommend him to everybody. Staff was very nice and accomodating. I wish I found this office years ago so I could save at least some of my teeth.

I relocated to Boston from Connecticut for work about a year ago and was looking for a dentist for a painful toothache I had. It turned out I needed a root canal and crown and I am really glad I found Dr. Hart. He placed a crown in an upper right tooth that blends in with my other teeth and looks and feels totally natural. I chew just as well with it too. I had a crown placed in a lower left tooth a while back by a dentist back home and he was nowhere near as good as Dr. Hart. The metal part of his crown sticks out and is so unsightly that I am thinking of having Dr. Hart replace that tooth as well. I really appreciate how natural looking Dr. Hart's work is.

I went to Dr. Hart to get invisalign (my treatment ended a few months ago). Everyone there was extremely nice and accommodating while I was considering them... with the initial appointment the service was excellent and the receptionist and nurses were great. Then, the moment I had paid for their services... no more extra friendly communication, no more visits with Dr. Hart... nothing! In fact, the entire time I was a patient there, which was about a year and a half, I only saw Dr. Hart three times! The rest of my visits were with the nurses/dental technicians/whoever was there that wasn't Dr. Hart (most of these people were always very friendly and provided good service). When I initially was through with all my aligners, they had not moved my teeth the way they were supposed to (according to my original treatment plan). At my ending appointment, I wasn't even automatically booked with Dr. Hart in order to discuss any problems/questions/treatment results. I basically came in, they took pictures and then said I could leave. When I said that my treatment wasn't satisfactory, they scheduled me an additional appointment with Dr. Hart. I did get additional treatment (more aligners), which was better but also not completely satisfactory. At the last appointment for these aligners, I was given the same treatment... in, take pictures, leave. No discussion with Dr. Hart. At this point I was so frustrated I just left and will get treatment elsewhere. I would not recommend this place, mostly because once you pay you are not treated as an individual, they just want to move you in and out as fast as possible and are not concerned with your personal results. They want your money and that's it. I wish I had found a place that offered more personal and friendly service, and somewhere that made me feel like the quality of my results and my satisfaction were important to them.

Honestly, I did not expect such a great experience. I have never liked dentist. But after Dr. Hart treated me I realised that a dentist can be very good. Anyway, he is professional, quick, interesting and makes you feel good about yourself. Good work, beautiful smile that indeed makes a diffrence.

I give Dr. Hart 5 stars. He is very professional, caring and knowledgeable dentist.
Dr. Hart is like an artist works on every detail and make sure that you are 100% satisfied with the outcome. I do highly recommend this doctor and his office for everyone. By the way, they do everything possible in dental field there. I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Hart and was very surprised (despite all the scary stories I was told before) that it is so realistic to have them done without any pain and ""horror"". Thanks a lot.

I would like to thank Dr Hart for the best service I have ever had in my life. I am in my late thirties and do not have the best hygine. My teeth were total mess. To my surprize he managed to save every single tooth in my mouth without any pain. I was very comfortable during appointments and now I feel good about myself. I do recommend Dr. Hart to everyone. He is the one.

Please do yourself a favor and get a second opinion immediately when they tell you you need excessive work done on your teeth and hand you a huge bill.
After telling me I needed one filling on my first visit, I arrived for the filling a week later only to be handed a bill for over $3000 which stated I needed 2 crowns. When I asked what was going on, the dentist told me I actually needed 4 crowns (all of this while I was in the chair, by the way). It goes on and on and gets more and more shady - they then said my last dentist ""can't see what I can see"", that I lost a filling-then the story changed that I didn't lose a filling, and then proceeded to tell me when other patients didn't listen to him their teeth cracked and fell out. This is a huge scam in my opinion - please use caution.
My result - got a second opinion, which stated I needed one filling replaced...not urgently. They could not find any idea why I would have been told I needed ANY crowns, let alone 4.
I do not know if my situation is isolated or if this happens all of the time. My advice - be careful!!!

I have had Dr. Hart do a lot of dental work on me and I am very pleased with the results, so much so that I decided to write this review, something I don't normally do. I had two upper impacted molar wisdom teeth removed and was amazed at how comfortable I felt afterwards. I had an implant placed in my upper right where I was missing a tooth and no longer feel self-conscious about laughing too wide of a smile. Lastly, I had lumineers placed on six of my front teeth so I have the perfect white smile now. Dr. Hart is a great cosmetic dentist.
