My baby wouldn't have made it to 5 months if it wasn't for this place. I am a Christian who made a mistake in breaking my celebacy with a man I didn't love, and I was completely against going through with this pregnancy. BCPC has supported me in getting back right with God, forgiving myself, and choosing to carry and raise this baby that is a blessing despite the circumstances. They have taught me it's ok to trust, because not everybody will judge and hurt you. I am grateful
Their tactics are manipulative and their language inappropriate. Luckily I am an adult, with support and my own convictions. Younger clients may be confused or manipulated. I was lured in by the promise of unbiased information, and subjected to instruction about how "my baby has everything it needs to live fully from the moment its conceived." --Except that I'm hosting it! I was basically forced to go through a projection of adoption choices. As an adopted person myself (and very happily one) I was positive that adoption was not an option for me. I left feeling compelled to exercise my rights over my body's autonomy, so their tactics were not in the end successful. If you are interested in information that is unbiased seek help elsewhere.
My counselor at Daybreak Pregnancy Resource Center was calm and non-judgmental. She made me feel much better when I was seriously considering an abortion. When I walked in, she took the time to listen and gave me great information about parenting and baby development. All the services were free and I felt better throughout the entire experience.
