We went to Aura for NYE. Pre-fix meal for $95/person. We sat down for dinner at 8:00pm and didn't get up until 11:15 pm and we didn't get DESSERT! We had to complain to the manager, he was no help. After arguing with him for 20 min he finally took off our liquor. They added 20% grad. We weren't the only ones complaining. Every table around us had the worst experience. The entire restaurant was comp'd their liquor. Over 3 HOURS for a pre-fix meal! Worst NYE ever! DO NOT GO TO AURA!!!!

Chef Rachel Klein, has not only found the oasis, she has created the oasis for parents who don't consider a sticky vinyl banquette, fried frozen foods, and a specialty straw particularly ""family friendly"" dining.
When it comes to dinner, pleasing the children and their parents is not an easy feat. Ideally, mom and dad would like to sit, relax, and enjoy a lengthy meal of high quality, tasty food. The kids want a few of their favourite tastes and textures, but only between rounds of playing house, trains, and dinosaurs.
At Aura?s family friendly dinners there is the perfect balance of everything. From the room and service to the meal itself. My family and I were recently invited to experience Aura?s family-friendly dining. The dining room is set up with just under a dozen tables for the perfect number of families to feel like you?re dining at a bistro or small restaurant and not so many families that the room feels like a preschool.
As we perused the menu, a toddler at the table next to ours exclaimed with glee as her food arrived ?Cheerios!? If your baby is used to an early dinner they may be famished when they arrive at Aura, but Aura is prepared. Babies are served toast points and banana slices as a little appetizer and the adjacent playroom is a welcome distraction.
As for the food, the children?s menu is exceptional with everything from the Chef?s selection of house made baby pur?es to sliced turkey breast and cranberry sauce. Of course there are also the classic kid?s favourites such as mac ?n cheese, pizza, grilled cheese and chicken nuggets (main course) and broccoli, potatoe puree, peas & carrots, or corn (sides). The prix fixe menu offers really interesting dishes such as the Kampachi Crudo (appetizer) and the Georges Bank Scallop with japanese pumpkin ravioli in a brown butter and sage sauce (main course). The portions were extremely generous and when we had a change of plan as one of our little ones didn?t want what they originally ordered, the waitstaff and kitchen didn?t miss a beat.

If you want decent food with horrible service, you've come to the right place. First of all, the hostess was very disrespectful. Not 15 minutes after being seated me and my date was asked if we wanted our check after we were done with our appetizer. Second of all it took 35 minutes after we were done with our appetizers for our main course to come. While waiting for those 35 minutes, there were bread crumbs all over the table and the waiters never came over to clean it up. There was an obnoxiously kid who turned out to be the chef's son who was screaming at the top of his lungs. After we were done with our main courses, we were never asked if we wanted some desserts. To top it all off, the restaurant was heavily understaffed. Having the hostess and Manager running around, cleaning, and setting up tables. The manager, Dean Romano did a better job at cleaning tables then did at managing. I can understand why they didn't really care, because to top off the bill, they added 20% gratuity fee on top of the bill. No wonder why they don't really care much for customer service. Terrible experience!

whoa there....there's a new sheriff in town and her name is Rache Klein. Formerly of OHM sh has brought her fabulous talents and her excellent Sous chef to Aura. A foodies delight!!!
Yes the hotel still adds on 20% tip ( stupid at best) and the space is sort of grand central station with private paries to he left and bathroom priveleges to the right, but overall the experience was worth the hassle. Wait staff were knowledgeable and professional.
all dishes are innovative and extroadinary from steak and eggs to steak ad yellow watermelon
Best news is that there is no wait on weekends because the hotel clears out and reservations are easy ( so far)
Go....you will not be disappointed with the food.

We went to Aura for their fixed price pre-concert dinner. The service was some of the worst I've ever had. It took more that two hours for three simple courses and a 20% tip was added to our bill. The portions were small and the food was unremarkable. I've had much better in Boston.
Overall, it was a poor experience and little value for the money. Look elsewhere.

My family, with 3 children, recently had Sunday brunch there. The food and service were excellent. There are delicious hot items - such as corned beef hash, fresh made omletes, and 2 types of hash borwns. Cold items include fresh berries and smoked salmon. I highly recommend for a nice brunch.

Mike and Micah are reason enough to head down for a drink. Very funny guys they seem to be doing a comedy routine to amuse the patrons. Knowledgable, funny and make a great drink.
Nothing you ask for will go unanswered. They know the area, the city and where to find anything.

The service at Aura is absolutely outstanding. They really know how to make you feel welcome. The food is some of the best cuisine I have ever tasted. My boyfriend and I have gone to Aura for two Valentine's Days and two Easter Brunches in a row. We are planning on celebrating our upcoming anniversary there as well.
